How to stop a friend from talking without being/looking rude???
Well, I bumped into one of my previous annoying highschool friend and he started talking like crap.....
The only thing I came up to get this over with is to tell him a lie..... and it worked, but I guess I did a rude thing there...
Scenario:
FRIEND: (talking.... blah...blah...blah)
ME: Sorry, I need to go now.... I still got exams tomorrow.....

Hey there,
I guess you can just tell that person that you are too busy to chat with him and have something to do.
Well some people have a different rude way of making excuses but oh well. On your scenario, you did say you are sorry but you are busy with exams. Maybe you can tell him talk to you next time. And also what does this person talk about? does he just random talk?

I suppose in these circumstances it is okay to be rude. I'd have just said something like 'I'm sorry I'm in a hurry I will call you later' even if I didn't have their number!
