Will Peter get his original power back?

OK, I am a big fan of Heroes, and probably the biggest question now is whether there will be another series. If so, would Peter get his original power back? My theory is this:
Peter came back from the future at the end of series 2, start of series 3. Here, he had a scar, now in order for him to have a scar, he would have lost the power he gained from Claire, therefore, he must have lost his abilities. The abilities he displayed at the start of series 3 are some of those he has been in contact with since then and held on to one at a time. The first one is the life and death one, as it has become pretty apparent to me that he brought Nathan back to life after shooting him. It is the only possible explanation for Nathan coming back to life, as Linderman was really Maury Parkman. He has also shown a few other powers such as flight, time travel, all things that he has gained at some point since he could only hold on to the one ability. Anyone got anything to add or theorize?

I am hoping he would get his original power back. Maybe the writers are just letting us see or letting us realize how powerful peter really is with his original power thus they stripped him of it and instead replaced with his current one. I do think that something would happen that would make peter regain his original power.

Really not sure. I'm thinking that something will happen between him and Sylar and Sylar will explain how to use his ability - to see how things work - and then Peter will either get his old powers back or he will get to know his new ability to its full potential. What do you think? Do you like they direction that Heroes had taken?

I have not thought of it before but an idea just came to me. You see all of their powers starts at simple things then evolves. Matt can only read minds before. Now he can actually trap you in a world he has created in your mind. Claire can only heal but later she can already regenerate. And so on. Maybe just maybe, Peter's power was just reset to its simple form because he already started with its evolved form where it is so powerful. If his simple power would evolve then he would get his original powers back.

Peter will never get his original power back, nbc explained that it left a too big a hole up. If he did get his original power back then most series would just end up likeseries 1, where peter overloads with powers and explodes again. the whole 1 power at a time thing works well.

yeah. i think he did lose it... i mean.. i think i am seeing cylar as the culprit as he was even able to change himself to become the president, right? or i am wayy far behind?!
i love heroes but i am just not able to watch! ohh i miss the whole cast and the power showcases. haha

Anything is possible with the show. It really depends on which direction the writers want to go. Thus far, they keep people watching. I think for a spin off they would give him his original power back.
