Does the weather effect your mood?

It's been grey and overcast since yesterday when we got alot of heavy rain. It was needed but I found my whole day seemed kinda dull. I never really felt like I fully woke up. And today it was abit worse since I just didn't feel motivated at all. I think the grey weather really made a difference. What do you think? Are you more energetic when the sun is shining ? Do rainy days make you want to stay home and sleep and rest? Could there be a biological reason since most animals rest during the rainy times?

The weather does effect my mood. When it's rainy, I am either sleepy or a little down sometimes. As a matter of fact, there are some people that suffer from what they call S.A.D. Seasonal Affective Disorder. This is a type of depression that is related to the seasons and weather.

In a way, yes. The weather may have an effect on our moods. A fair weather can make a person in a good and full of energy mood. While a cold weather can make a person's mood cold and loves to stay at home, have some sleep or watch a movie or eat a lot. Then, a hot weather makes a person prone to get angry easily, loves to drink a lot or in a swimming mood. The weather has a relative effect to our moods.

I doubt that there's an actual physical reason for it, but who knows. I'm certainly not an expert on it!
I'd definitely say the weather affects my mood though. When the weather is gloomy, I tend to not want to wake up, or really do anything throughout the day, and I can't wait to get back into bed.
But sunny weather has the total opposite affect on me. I wake up before I need to, and have super energy throughout the day!
