I believe that one must actually know and can even sing his or her national anthem. Although most of the people in our country doesn't usually memorize or commits mistake in singing it. I can sing our national anthem well with dynamics and correct lyrics.

Yes, absolutely!
I can sing fully my county's national anthem, or at least I hope so...
It is really shameful if you win something globally and you can't even sing your country's national anthem

I know the lyrics of my national anthem well. I think a person must know their national anthem well, though I can't sing it. I cannot sing!

Honestly no. But i can sing that anthem we sing in republic or independance day. U may know that we sing the short version of "bande mataram" . Actual anthem is too long as written in "anandamath". Again "jana mana gana", yes i can sing it but i give the anthem honor to bande mataram.

Of course, yes.
What kind of discussion is this???
How can any citizen not be able to sing his National Anthem??
I do not think that it is very difficult to remember your National anthem. It is as if you are not able to remember your mother's name.
Come on, let us start discussing something better

I can surely sing the national anthem fully and correctly. I love my national anthem. My father worked for the indian army and patriotrism runs in my blood. I also plan to join the army after my engineering degree. You must know the meaning of the national anthem too. I was ashamed a few years ago when two foreign friends asked me about the meaning of the national anthem i couldn't tell them correctly.

I can sing my national anthem...I learnt it as a child and could sing it by the time I was 4 (even though I lived in another country then). I also knew the national anthem of the country I lived in.
Here, the national anthem is taught in schools. Though most schools start teaching it only in 1st grade, the school my kids attended started teaching it in kindergarten. My 3 year old knows our national anthem...of course, it's not perfect (the words) but he knows he needs to stand at attention and give it respect and knows the tune of the song.

Hey! I know my National Anthem. We have been singing it ever since we were in school. I think it is rather shameful for a person not to know his/her national anthem. It is in a way showing disrespect to one's motherland. I think everyone must learn their national anthem for sure.
Happy myLotting and have a great day!

Of course I could. When I was a student, everyday we must sing the national anthem while we saw the rise of national flag. And we also need to sing it when we attend public activities. So I could remember the words of national anthem in my heart. In my view, a person should remember the words of national anthem, but it should only be a require by himself, not by the country.

Hi, siliguri.
Yes, I can. I think few people in our country fail to sing our national anthem. W all were taught to sing it when we were young. As far as I can recall, when I was a school student, our school hold a flag-raising ceremony every Monday morning. And we all sang our national anthem while raising the five-star red flag.
