Im a SCUBA diver, so when I travel I try to keep it as light as possible. I always have to check my equipment, but I carry a backpack on the plane with me. I consider my backpack my "essentials"... Toothbrush, shampoo, etc. I also carry a couple pair of shorts, bathing suit, T-shirts and underwear, and always include my camera, regulator, dive mask and dive computer. The rest of my equipment can be rented if necessary. Guess I'm always in fear of the airlines losing my luggage!

I travel light most of the times. I remember my ex-girl friend who used to fill the trunk of the car when she was going to a shore for the weekend. I went over seas for 2 weeks & I had 1 duffle bag & a cover for the suit. To this day, I think more than a duffle bag is too much to bring on most of the trips I take. I know there always will be an exceptions but I tend to bring only the essentials.

I always take my handbag with me wherever I go. I take some shopping bags with me. I don't like to get plastic bags from the supermarkets. Having my own shopping bags that I use many times is better than having a new plastic bag every time I go off shopping. When I travel on days outing I take a day pack in addition to my handbag. I love to travel overseas and on such a trip I take my large backpack. Over the years I have learned to travel lightly. In the bottom of my backpack I put my clothes. I try to take as few clothes as I can get away with. Then my backpack isn't too heavy to carry.

NO. I usually bring too much with me! Lol, and after the trip, I end up not using most of the stuff I carried with me. So it was just a waste of effort and energy. I guess I'm the person who wants "to be sure", so I carry a lot of extras just in case something happens.

I do love to travel light. But it also depends on where i am going and for how many days i will be there. Having a light baggage keeps you in control of your belongings and minimizes the stress that associates with excess baggage and too much things. So my preferred baggage would be a back pack and nothing more.
