I'm serious. The system is in place for the bulk of society but if you march to a different beat you'll have to pay. I'm trying to apply for assistance and it's like crazy because I don't have a "job" like everyone else. I work some and then I am "self-employed." They don't know what to do with that except make everything super more complicated for me! the one who is trying to be honest in reporting all my income... too bad my heart won't let me live being dishonest.. then I wouldn't have to report it all ... and I'd get more benefits. The world doesn't reward honesty!!

Well, it never has. Has it? Maggiepie "Of all the systems of morality, ancient or modern which have come under my observation, none appears to me so pure as that of Jesus." ~~ Sept. 18, 1813, Letter from Thomas Jefferson to William Canby

Why not start thinking like "them"? Ya never know... ...perhaps THEN, you'll receive your assistance. ;-) cdrxo

It does seem like honesty isn't rewarded in that situation. I do know that if I were to constantly be dishonest and mislead I would end up being paranoid and untrusting since I know that if I could do it so can someone else. I do know that there are more benefits to being honest then they are to being dishonest. I know that being dishonest is alot more hard work then being honest. You have to remember each lie you said and try to explain the lie to avoid contradictions.

I know the feeling. If you work or stuck in the middle than you are out of luck. I am too honest according to my mother. A tree fell on our house last year and the contracter asked if this is the result of tree damage I said no. my mother said sometimes he is too honest, but we got it all repaired anyway because something else was wrong. Maybe you too can qualify because something else is wrong.
