What household chore is your favorite?

My grandma always likes doing the dishes because her kitchen sink is next to the window and she can watch what's going on outside while she works. Not me. I've always disliked doing the dishes, although I admit that having a window instead of a blank wall to stare at would improve things! I can't really say that there's a household chore that I find fun (unless you count cooking as a household chore), but I don't mind doing the vacuuming. It's satisfying to have a clean floor, and it's also a bit of exercise. Ok, I just thought of a household chore that I enjoy. I like cleaning out the drains in the sink. Why? Because I use baking soda and vinegar. It's like that science project where you build a volcano and put baking soda in the bottom and then pour vinegar in to make it "erupt." It's fun watching the mixture fizz and foam.

I like testing out clean sheets that I just put on the bed the most. Actually, I can't say what my favorite chore is. That phrase, favorite chore, actually sounds like an oxymoron. But, I suppose some people do love certain chores. I'd have to say I like washing dishes the most out of all the possible household chores. I like the feeling I get when they're all done and put away. We have a dishwasher but I rarely use it, primarily because I hate wasting electricity. Outside chores, now, that's a different matter. I love cutting the grass. I didn't used to love it; I used to think of it as a big pain but, since buying a rider mower, it's such fun! We have maybe 2 acres of land covered in grass so it's quite a chore and I've never tried cutting it with any mower other than the rider mower. My husband tried, with one of those gas-powered mowers that you push. It took him 3 days to cut all the grass! I thought he had lost his mind when he came home with that new lawnmower because I just couldn't see cutting all that grass with a push mower! I told him I wanted a rider mower and he came home with a new ATV. HUH??? Sometimes, I don't think he even hears me. I went out and bought the rider mower myself.

Of all the household chores, I love cleaning the house and the decorating it really fascinates me. I could use my whole Saturday in doing this without even tiring up. I want my whole house sp!k and span and well decorated. I also love keeping and maintaining the garden because it helps in it gives cool and fresh atmosphere to my whole surroundings.

This is going to sound crazy but I love to clean most everything. My favorite I think would be also washing dishes. I rather wash them then use the dishwasher to tell you the truth. However, I know if you don't use the dishwasher enough it will breakdown so I use it every other day. I also like to do yard work. The one thing I hate to do is mop floors its so back breaking and then they don't stay clean long enough for all the work I put into it.

I like mopping the floor better than anything else. I mean its more like exercising to me most of my muscle groups are working and it gives me a feeling that im in the gym too for my regular workout hahaha

The most I really like is swob the floor, it's a household chore where you can move and shake your body like when you doing aerobic. And it was makes me sweat, in other word you can burn many calories with doing this chore. So try this at home.

what is my favorite chore? I have none, here at Gold crest I am waited on fed, my clothes washed, my medications dished out to me, my floor vacuumed my linens changed,oh my what i would not give to wash a load of clothes just to do something useful. but I give them a huge chunk of my Social security and ssi check so they get paid well. and as I have no other home yet this is home for now.

I have no favorite household chore! I hate them all! I will let my dishes pile up for along time before I will do them! With dusting I only do it when I feel like it which is not oftened! I would love to get a house keeper! I have hated household chores since I was a kid! Please let me win the lottery so I could get a maid!

Well I am going to have to take this outside. I really enjoy yard work...it doesn't matter if it is raking the yard or pruning trees...I love being outside...

I actually agree with you. :) I "like" washing dishes, too. There's is just something about making dirty things clean that is "fun". :D

Hi jeeyah! Like you, I also like washing the dishes. I like feeling the flow of water while I wash the dishes, it really feels nice. :) And for me, it's really the easiest chore to do her in our house. The other stuffs are already too complicated for me. Cooking can also be, but I can only do fried foods. hahaha. :)

Good Morning dear Jeeyah , well lets say that i am not the type of person who love's to work around the house especiallyafter eight ours of work in a donuts factory , and then when i get back home i have another four to six hours of helping my mother in the bistro she recently made a credit to the bank to buy it , wich leave's me with really few time for myself , but i am not able to afford a maid to clean up the house and my mother its not in the same shape and health she used to be when she was a young mom , to be able to take care of the bistro and clean up the house , but she still cooks for the whole familly and cleans my clothes ,so i have to return the work and love she gaved , so i guess that from all the chores that includes cleaning out the house , i love to take out the glass bottles to the contaneir and select the transparent botles from the collored ones , then the second comes the dust cleaning , its the fastest chores , takes me only fifteen minutes to completely make the whole living room , my mother's room and grandmother ( wich is invalid ) shine like a morning sun , and i love to spend time with my mom cooking on the Sunday's, because she's making my favourite spaggety with garlic saussage ( hmmmm i'm lovin' it Well , i dont love the chores that i do , i love the fact that it take off some of the pressure that presses down on my mom's shoulders , and this give's me a verry huuge amount of satsifaction. I guess i have no choice but to do all the chores at home...lol. I'm a housewife and i'm in-charge all-around but the most enjoyable chore i do is the laundry. I let my little girl help (not actually) and see how i clean her choco stained tshirts and pajamas.

i love cooking especially the person who will eat will appreciate i really enjoy cooking most of the time. you can express your feeling through cooking there will be after taste like coffee you can smell the aroma. i enjoy seeing people eating because you can see they really like what you cooked.

i guess doing laundry is mind (not that i really have any favourites to begin with anyways) i like the smell of fresh, clean laundry.

I also like the dishes - in fact, I can load more in the dishwasher than either of the roomies. Wash them by hand? no way! I have to do that at my job! Even so, I still prefer to wash them. I don't mind DUMPING the cat litters. - pick them up, drop in trash can, undo bag straps and pull pan out. The other roomie would take them outside, wash them with soap and water - well, if that's what SHE wants to do - I do good just dumping them! So, those are my 2 chores, the roomie, not the other roomie, will put the pans in bags and fill with clean litter, when I don't get it done first but I need her to help me dump the trash cans into the big dumpster to be picked up by the city. Mind you, I only put 3 pans in a can, I could probably put 6 in one, but then I couldn't lift them, even WITH the roomie's help!

jeeyah, I do not mind doing the toilets, vacuuming the house and cooking when I am at home. Once in a while, I would be doing other jobs like cleaning the air conditioner's filters and dusting the ceiling and cabinet tops.

this is perfect, 'coz I just finish cleaning my room.. lol. first of all, I'd like to mention the household chores that I don't like doing, I don't like sweeping the floor, it always gave me a back ache, and even though I've been trying to sweep the floor once in awhile since I was a kid, I never really get the proper way of sweeping, people always say once they see me sweeping that it makes sense that I'm not used doing that chore, it always look like I don't know how to do it, because it makes sense that I don't like doing it.. I also don't like doing laundry- I mean hand washing clothes, it always bruise my hands maybe because I just don't know the proper way of rubbing the clothes by hands, and one last chore, I don't like wiping the dust 'coz I'm allergic to it, I always sneeze and later have a running nose and my skin gets itchy and red.. so my favorite chores are, washing dishes (like you), although it also gave me back aches but I always feel satisfied and good after, since then, that's the only chore I like doing until recently, I discovered that I also like mopping the floor. It all started when I recently bought a sponge mop with a lever for squeezing out the absorbed water, and when I tried it on my bedroom floor, I surprisingly felt good, I never dared to mop the floor before because it always seem to me like a very heavy chore, like you have to push all the time and the floor seems never going to dry, however, I don't know maybe its just the mop I bought but I felt the floor is so squeeky clean afterwards, and so I like mopping now..

I also like washing the dishes cuz i can sing while doing it. Sometimes, when i'm washing the dishes i'm also sound tripping. It kinda takes the work out of it. Lol.

talking about household chores.. aside from eating ahaha ahahaha lol, i love to fetch water,during the time that we dont have plumbing fixtures at all, but now that we already have water supply, i dont have anything to do at home since my sisters do them all... hahaha
