Who is considered an alcoholic?

I enjoy a glass of red wine or cocktails on special occasions ,but I'm already satisfied with one or two cups. I think that everything in moderation is fine, but some people need to spoil everything by drinking an entire bottle. Alcohol in America is a big problem ,and destroys many families. Do you think that some people never admit to be alcoholics?
