Reality Television -- Is there Actually any Reality?

well for me I love reality tv shows, BIg losser is my top relity tv show, next i like Americas next top model..Iron Chef

I don't think there are any 'reality' shows that are not scripted or directed in one form or another. To make good television the lighting needs to be right and the content needs to be good, so I know for a fact that many of these shows shoot the same 'reality' scenes to get it just right.

My favorite reality show is few. I only like Dancing with the Stars and American Idol. All the other reality shows are scripted as far as I'm concerned. They ask the people involved to play it up for the camera making the story worse then it really is. I really wish the reality shows would all go away. They have overstayed their welcome by 10 years.

The things about reality shows is that its pretty much manipulated reality; I'm sure the producers set up a situation to provoke drama, and at that cut and paste what they filmed to make a "story" out of the whole thing. In general I don't care mcuh fore reality TV. I used to like America's Next Top Model, but now I just tune in for the ending to see the photo shoot results.

reality stop been real long ago now is just a manipulation of human emotions by the producers of those shows... please someone stop this shows

i think that Reality TV shows should rebrand themselves to 'Loosely Scripted TV Shows with an Objective'. at least then we'd be more prepared when watching it. because if reality is like what we see on tv, then i have no idea what i'm living through right now..
