Have you ever used Dollar General 5000 ply-sheet toilet paper before?

Dollar General has toilet tissue that has 5000 sheets on it. I like buying this because it lasts me about 1 week and a half in my bathroom. I have two bathrooms in my apartment. It costs, $3.00. This is a good deal to me because the toilet tissue that my husband buys have about 440 ply-sheets on the toilet paper roll. And this costs about $2.60. So, I figured, why not pay a little bit more, for extra sheets. What do you think? Would you be willing to buy this tissue because it lasts much longer? It is not all that soft as the softer tissues. But it is mild enough to use daily. Please share your comments. Thanks! In my home, we usually will run out of toilet tissue within four days. So, this tissue last me about 6.7 and 1 half days more.***

Do you mead 500 instead of 5000? 5000 would be a pretty big roll. I don't think I have ever bought toilet paper from Dollar General before. I normally get a case of toilet paper at Sam's Club. It is $18.88 for 40 rolls of 450 sheet paper. So it is about 1.4 cents per sheet.

Hi, lilybug. No, I meant 5000 sheets. I was surprised myself when this amount of tissue was at this store too being in this much of quantity. I was like, Wow!!! I wished that I could have known about this many years ago. I hoped that they were selling this tissue during this time too. I love shopping at Sam's Club, they have great bargains. My aunts love shopping from them.

I also wished that it was softer too. That would make it even more better.

I'm not sure if I have tried it, but I like dollar general products fine most of the time so I may try it. I always seem to have enough toliet paper though, I havent bought it for a long time, but I think I am running low now so I might investigate it.

Sounds like a lot of tissue paper. Most times, we get the $1.00 4 pack roll and it barely lasts three days cause there are really so few sheets per roll. It's a short term, short sighted solution. The 5000 sheets sounds like a better way to save money. Might try that out.

Hey cream! I am all for getting bargains, especially when it comes to toilet paper! I don't know about the dollar store toilet paper! It differs from each store to begin with! I know that I go through toilet paper fairly quickly and it is mostly me using it! My boyfriend brings it home from his job and the rolls don't last long at all! I can go through almost a roll a day which tells you how often I go to the bathroom and how poor the quality is, but it is free so I don't care! Even when I do buy my own I still go through it just as quickly no matter what brand I buy! So I have no idea how to respond to this question! I use probably more than the average person since I have a weak bladder!lol

I LOVE the toilet paper from Dollar General. Who needs soft? This is even a better bargain than Scott tissue. I'd like to know which paper mill it comes from though because if it's from Georgia Pacific, I wouldn't use it even if it's FREE! Georgia Pacific is owned by the Koch brothers, who are trying to ruin our country and our democracy by buying the minds of college students with all the strings they attach to their donations to the colleges. Hopefully, the administrations will be honorable enough not to bite on the rip-off. They inherited all their multi-billions, so now they think they can buy monds with their money! I boycott everything I know is from their corporations. Maerzie
