Dreaming about someone that is already dead...

My first cousin died in September 1998. He was killed by an gunshot to his chest/heart. Since he has been dead, I think about him every now and then. It is what family usually do, when someone that they love dies, especially at a very younger age. I don't really dream about him as much but when I do, I find it to be very odd. In the very first dream, he was sitting next to me and talking to me. He was trying to communicate with me. He was smiling and he was very interested in what I had to say. When we was in 6th grade class, he would tease me all of the time. He would copy my answers off of my test when I was not looking. He would even ask me to give him the answers for free. He knew that I had studied for my quizzes/test. But he never did. Now, the second dream that I had, him and his other living brother was in this dream. He was talking to me then. They both were around me. It was a pleasant dream. I know that most of you may say that it is only a dream, but in my heart, I know that there is a reason for me dreaming about my dead cousin. I don't usually have dreams about anyone that is dead. I did have two dreams about my mother. My mom and my cousin are the only two dead people that I have ever had any dreams about. I am trying to make sense of these dreams. Is it possible that these two souls are trying to communicate with me. I loved these two people dearly, and they knew it. I think that there is a meaning when someone can dream about a dead person. Not someone that is alive that died in the dream. But someone whom is already deceased. When I dreamed about my cousin, I felt very strange. In the dream he seems happy and interested into talking to me. He is not like he was when he was in school. He is very mature, sweet and kind to me. My mom on the other hand is quiet. She told me in a dream that she loved me. She was swinging on a high swing. She was another woman, but I knew that it was her. She said that she loved me and she called me by my first name. I miss the both of them so much. They were my family and I loved them dearly. I don't personally think that my dreams are caused by my emotions. I think that there is a significant meaning to these dreams that I am having. Can anyone enlighten me on what it may could be? Please share your comments. Thanks!

Hello cream97, I was just thinking maybe the reason why you've keep on dreaming of your deceased cousin was because you also think of him a lot. This happens to me a lot of times especially when I'm thinking of something it usually appears on my dream. The good thing in there was they will remain alive in your dreams and you often see and spend time with them.^^

I don't remember my dreams. The only time now that I am able to remember them is when I have a fever or I am really sick with some virus. I was in two accidents and hit my head in the same place and I think that is the reason. I have felt my grandmother's and mom's presences when my grandson was born though.

maybe u should visit him in his grave. that's what i believe and pray for his peacefulness. and ask your cousin what does he want. try to not think of him so you wont dream of him anymore.. its like my father, i dream of him sometimes, and when i woke up, i talk to him in my mind that never to come again in my dream. i miss my dad but i dont want to go with him. now now. that's what i always told him.
