When election season comes, when this phenomenon nominated artist, returns happen. Jupe is a candidate in Pacitan, Maria Eva is trying to become a candidate in Sidoarjo, or the latest news Vena Melinda who become candidates in Blitar. I wonder what the intellectual capital they own or just selling "big name" Television work.

There is no ban, an artist becomes a politician. Becausethey are also citizens ofIndonesia. Artists must alsoself-aware with the ability, ifit is not capable, it's better not to stand.

actually, if an artist is able and can be a representative of the people, all of it do not matter. but if the artist did not have the ability, it is a problem. they indeed have the same rights, because they are citizens. but if it is not capable of better self-conscious.

I don't want to judge thus artist who are running for election. If they want to serve the people then they are most welcome and I think everybody is welcome as long what they have is good intentions. There are some artist who are already serving the people with honest intention and they are also capable of running the place they were elected for.
But there's also some artist who just like to use their popularity. I don't know what they are after for...or they just want to know how it feels to be elected for the office...maybe they find it thrilling.

That's why they being called politikus, they know how to use tactic to get their objective. Those Artist maybe not sufficient in intellectual, but they very useful to aim someone political objective. Someone say that politic is dirty, so they will do anything to get their purpose...

in the philippines, there are lots of big names in the show business and even in public affairs service entered politics. joseph estrada was a city mayor, a senator and a former president. he was and still acts behind cameras. noli de castro was a news reporter and documentary host before he became vice-president. just to name two of them.
