When I was teaching, I found a very common problem among my students. And that is their lack of concentration on what they are studying. I noticed that there are lots of factors which contributes on their lack of concentration such as problems, computer games, their environment and so much more. We all know that if a student cannot give full concentration on his or her studies, even how beautiful his goal is in his or her studying, it cannot be attained. While some mylotters are still a student and some are already working, for sure all of us have gone in this stage where we need to concentrate on our studies. As for me, I make a timetable of the different subjects that I will study for a certain time and day and I follow it strictly. How about you, how do you concentrate with your studies amidst the different things or people surrounding you?

For the most people concentration doesnt comes naturally and that includes me. To concentrate i usually lock the door in my room if possible, turn off my celphone and taking measure to prevent any other disturbance that i might forsee.

In order to concentrate, I will first remove all distractions from my study area, a process known as de-cluttering. My study table has to be cleared of all stuff, and only the materials which I will be studying will be on the table top. To block out other distracting background noises, I will put on my earphones and listen to some soothing instrumental music. That really helps me a lot.

Lack of concentration is cause by lack of interest in subject.Try to make subject by telling them funny thing, jokes while giving lecture. This will increase their mood and concentration.
When i was in school i used to fall asleep on most of the lectures but there were teachers who used to make us laugh by telling jokes and funny thing and i used to like those lectures.

During my schooling day, I only able to concentrate during my classes and while I'm in a library. It is true that environment has a big factor in influencing the students on his concentration in studying. Since, I'm a working student. I have a very hectic schedule and I make sure I understand the lesson of my prof during classes because I don't have much time to go back on his lesson to study. Otherwise, I request for a free tutorial session with my prof during his break-time.
I choose my friends, too. I only make friends as much a possible to my classmates that are eager to learn and will not influence me the other way.
At home, I make sure that I have a table in my room where I can study at least in 30mins or an hour before bed time. It is important that the table is not facing to any destruction too like TV, window or door.
And most of all, I keep my mind wide-open. Listening attentively as if it's the first and the last time you'll hear it from your prof. And, understand how that lesson will works. That's it. Happy mylotting... =)

There is an old famous book named power of concentration obtainable from internet free, it covers conncentration in all aspects. There are also exercises to improve concemtration at the book. Not sure it was from the book but one simple exercise as a temporary help to concentrate is following curves of a 8 or an infinite in your mind.
