Lonely and bored

Oh you met someone here on Mylot, I also just wish that I could met someone here and hang out together, but sometimes whenever I'm alone I'm just trying to do something so I won't feel bored and get lonely...like surfing the internet

hi eddyspaghetti, Hum...before, I feel lonely and bored when I am the only one at house. I am not fond of watching tv or listening to radio. Although I love reading books but I also get tired of it sometimes. However, when we started to have a computer with an internet connection, I seldom got bored. As of now, I am only thinking of how to earn more money to support my sister and myself in studying. That is why I keep on trying to look for online jobs. As of now, I am encoding, participating in mylot, and submitting articles online. That is what makes me busy everyday.I am also reviewing different subjects because I have to take an exam next month. I never get bored most of these days but I feel lonely. It is because I am so busy that I cannot have a chance to talk to people close to me. I miss them and somehow I wish, I don't need much money so I can spend time with them and go to party with them like the way I used before.

i seldom get bored and i try not to be lazy because there are so mamy things i would like to do. i do a lot of crafts and have a bunch of projects on the go. i also like to go online and i also love to read, so i am always busy.

I hate being alone unless I'm trying to solve some financial disaster I created or someone has made me mad(which is a rarity on the being mad). I hate being bored as well. However, usually if I'm around someone else I don't tend to be bored. I can always find something to do when someone else is present. I don't necessarily have to talk to the person or be interractive, but knowing that someone else is near is a good thing for me. I can dive into my own world on the computer either doin mylot, facebook, or writing one of my many books that I can't seem to finish when others are near. But it seems as soon as I realize I am alone, it all comes to a hault. I'm a strange individual, this I know. These moments make you walk in circles in your own home like you are a clueless lost soul. Everyone you call is busy or not available, it's like they know you need them and they can't be bothered. I know exactly how you feel. Being lonely and bored is no fun and very frustrating.

yes all the time, for me i am alone all the time, except for the weekend and i don't think it will ever change anytime soon, my computer and online friends are my life... sometimes i like being alone, but it would be nice to have company especially from my special someone occasionally.

I completely and absolutely hate being alone and bored. I try and talk to friends online, meet up with someone or just read a nice book, play some games and watch some TV. I do make sure I have some human contact or else you become a little too depressed.

It has happened to me, just yesterday. I am always so busy that I barely have time to relax except for when I go to bed to sleep at night. Yesterday, suddenly I had some down time and like you, I found myself alone, everyone else busy and doing thier own thing. You know, I didn't know what to do with myself and was the strangest feeling ever. I even noticed it and thought Wow, what should I do now. I was thinking of those projects I have unfinished thinking I could tackle one or all of them but instead, I laid on the couch, watched judge Judy and proceeded to eat a box of oatmeal chocolate chip cookies! So much for my diet and I felt worse afterward as you could well imagine! I wound up taking my dog for a walk, coming home and going to bed. That was enough for one day of suddenly hacving some time to myself.

Being bored should be a motivator to you. It is your conscience telling you that you need to find something to fill in your time. I don't often find myself bored for very long. I always have a good book going. I also have different hobbies that I do whenever I am alone. There is always something to be done. Good luck Eddy. Hope you take your own advice and get off your butt and find something to relieve your boredom.

It does happen rarely with me as i get very free time apart form my work.My work is my passion so there is no boring moment while working. When i am free i got to see my friends and then internet is always here to chat with other people and post on mylot and other sites. ssometime when there is nothing else to do i play online games.See you tube videos on recipes and cook different food.Lot of things to do.So i dont get bore.

More than I like to admit it seems. However, given that I am a Mom of 3 teenagers, it is nice to take it easy once in a while. Currently, they are all off with their friends, I have the house to myself. But, alas, I know the cleaning needs to be done, but I'm not in the mood to do it. So I figured I would see what was going on here on Mylot today. I also like to try and pamper myself a little bit, climb into a warm bath, throw in some bubbles and read a good book. Or heck play a game for a while, knowing that there isn't anyone to bother me. Heck, why not. I like to play different games. :)

mmm looks that you are enjoying a bit of quality time with yourself. well in my case my life move so fast that when I have moments like those, i really enjoy the solitude almost like in home alone movie :-)

I am alone a lot but I rarely get lonely. I call up my brother or some friends and we chat on the phone or I get online and spend some time there... or I take my dog out for a walk or go running or find stuff to do around the house. Read a book or so :)

it always happens to me..i start using facebook. so that i may have a nice chat with my friends to avoid that lonely feeling

My practice time increases with the piano when I am extremely bored. Like, instead of a hour, I have almost done three hours practice time with it. The only time I get real bored is if there is nothing on tv and I'm bored with the computer or I don't know what to do with myself.

I get bored most of the time. This started when I finished college last year. When I was at school, I never got bored because I had my college buddies with me who would always stay at my boarding house and do research, watch movies, or just hang out. And school also kept me busy so there's no chance of becoming bored. But now that I'm at home, every thing has been so different. I'd say I was never used to this kind of set-up but it doesn't mean that I'm not enjoying with my family. I'm working but my job is boring and very dull, that's why I also get bored at work. I want to make my life exciting and as risk-taking as possible so that boredom will not strike me. When I get bored, I just listen to music, read good books, then sometimes go out and mingle with our neighbors. I think there's no better idea than spending time with other people in your neighborhood.
