Ever been to a Psychic Fair?

Years ago, I went to a good-sized one for my area. People telling fortunes, people doing shoulder massages, bookstore with psychic books as well as other kinds of books, relaxation/meditation music cassettes, instruments like drums and rattles, and so on. Now, we have a really, really small one. One person did tarot card reading, one psychometry, and one read auras. So just three people. So if you have been to one, what did they have at yours? If you would like to have one, then what would you like to have or see or who would you like to have at one?

I have never been to one but if I knew there was one in my area, I would go for sure. I have always wanted my cards read and would love to visit a psychic. Just to see what they said. I saw my aura once on tape when I was in Japan. It was filmed. Very strange.

Ah, Kirlean (spelling?) photography. If you read about it, it's not so strange. Not sure which came first, that or thermal photography that some people use to determine health or illness. When were you in Japan? Did you visit/tour/live there? That must have been onteresting.

I'd like to be able to travel to Japan. If you get any time, check out the types of photographies I listed. Have fun.

It's been about 5 years since I was there. I went as a business/award trip. It was very interesting and I got to see a lot of amazing places. I was visiting a temple when the video camera got my aura or whatever it was..lol..it was strange.

Back in the 70s I attended one with my Nana, aunt and mother. I think that it was in Illinois. The area was wooded and sort of gave it a spooky ambiance. I do not think that there wasn't a psychic ability missed. As with anything there were the ones that were very gifted and some not so much. My most memorable experience there was a lady who had the gift to be able to lift tables without touching them. That at the time had to be the coolest thing I had seen yet in my young life. My Aunt got a reading she was always looking for someone that could see into the future. I always enjoyed watching tarot card readings. There were also lots of arts, crafts, good luck amulets, music etc. I remember thinking it went on forever. It was one of those childhood memories that will stay with me forever. I think because I had been exposed to a multitude of gifts within my own family I was able to see things with a more open mind than most my age at the time. After the passing of my mother and grandmother and aunt I unfortunately, never looked at the spiritual world the same. Reading about others experience has brought a warmth of joy to my soul. I need to attend one again someday.

That's nice that you have really, really fond memories. What a neat family. My Mother, my aunts and my Meme Mere (Nana in the French Canadian on the American side of the border saying) would never have gone to such a thing. It sounds like you had a really, really good psychic fair. I wish I could move things with my mind (psycho- or tele- kinesis). Would be really handy, esp. when you're not feeling well, someone is trapped in a vehicle or in a house during a fire, etc. My Dad and his side of the family are dowsers and more open-minded than my Mom's side. But they never really said much about it. It just was.

I think because of the Salem Witch Trials (and other witch trials/torture end result)in the North East, we have groups of people who are open-minded. But we still have to be careful of people who have been taught and believe that anything that is not their religion, is against it - or worse yet-evil.

I think dowsing would be fun. I think when people have someone close to them with gifts that it helps us to see things with a more open mind. Yes a lot of these things were not spoken of at least not outside the walls of those who understood.I know that living in Oklahoma if I were to just start blabbing about some of my experiences growing up they would probably burn me at the stake lol.A Lot of people around here are very black and white when it comes to spirituality. It is sad to think that so many family traditions and beliefs are being lost. And yes you are right it would be great to move things and help people. I used to always wish I could have had the ability to find lost people.

I have been to one, yes! They have a goddess Fair here every year. They have all the same things there. Tarot readings, Belly dancing, all different kinds of music and entertainment. It was very informative and had good food and drink and fun was had by all. I enjoy these and the art in the park we have here annually.

Goddess fairs sound great! Neither fair had Belly Dancing. I think a Goddess Fair would be cool! That is something I might be suggest to some people. Great idea. Thanks and take care.

Well if you take it as just a fun time and they only ask for a little money, then it's not bad. If they ask for a lot of money or they tell you to do something dangerous or to keep giving them money to get rid of a curse or something, then that's bad. Yeah, it's fun. I had someone tell me that I was a mail-order bride in a previous life. Maybe I was; maybe I wasn't. It's interesting anyway.
