Responses are rare now?

Hi yugasini,LOL you are worrying unnecessarily about loosing friends.i think everyone is tired with the heat and have become sluggish thats all ...I think one can never be sure what kind of discussions fetch more responses and which ones dont...I have had some discussions which according to me were good but members dint seem to think so or it got overlapped by other dicsussions...

Hi there my friend! Please don't be disappointed just because one discussion did not receive a response. You are not losing your friends here. Some of us are just too busy to be everywhere. Some are not posting at all. I know some are in ill-health and some have exams coming up. There are many new users here who think that they should start many discussions in order to earn and only later do they realise that they were mistaken. Things will get back to normal and then maybe it eill be your turn to be offline and we will be asking you the same question

I always check on the discussions tab and check if there are any responses. I found out that the email notification for responses seems to have a bug, and I don't really mind. The notifications from Mylot are just adding to my junk mail, so I don't mind the notifications.

I think it really just depends on how many people are interested in the topic. It is really hard to come up with a discussion that has as many as 100 responses, or at least close to it. However, once in a blue moon, I do get lucky and have a discussion that has that many responses. Otherwise, usually they get a few, 3, maybe 5. Then again, I still start discussions that get no responses at all. I also believe that timing is part of it. You could start a discussion at the same time as someone else, and yours may just end up by the way side. Or you could start a discussion at the time when most other people are also starting a discussion or doing something else. I am not sure what the odds are of getting a response, or what the odds are of getting several responses....but it would be interesting to know about the odds. I am very behind on responding. Some discussions, I don't respond to because they don't interest me. If you ever have a discussion that has NO responses at all, feel free to send me a PM with the link and I will give it a response even if it's a topic I'm not fond of!

Truthfully I believe that responses come in streaks, I know it did that last summer when I use to have my old account. I would see some days full of responses and other days with very few responses. Don't worry I am sure you will see that people will pick up after the weekend.

yugasini I am thinking of several things that may account for few responses to a discussion posted before 7 am , and that one thing is a lot of mylotters early in the morning are up and out the door to their jobs leaving people like me who are retired to post on early morning discussions. do not give up, just keep also posting to others discussions so you can get the name yugasini out in public view and people will say oh that yugasini made some really good responses to my discussions, I must look up her discussions and respond also. Also this little discussion here should rouse us and get us responding to you also and maybe make a few friends for yourself. good luck and happy mylotting.

Well that's pretty weird because since I've became a member here at mylot I've watched the population virtually double. But just because we are getting more members doesn't mean that they are all being active. It's not really all about responses though. As long as you continue to write good responses or discussions with good lenghty content you should see your earnings benefit greatly from it.

Hi yugasini, that is not true. :) Some of us have been busy. :) So even though we do come, we kind of add response here or there, and leave rather than look through every discussion. :) Sorry about not having responded to your earlier discussions. I will search for them, and check whether I do have any opinion on them to offer. :) You too have a nice day. :)

It depends on the discussions that you start. Some just won't respond to discussions that is more likely to be deleted or a topic that's hard to understand. You have to make it understandable and clear in order for others to respond to it.

hi,friend,it's not the problem from your side or not that you are loosing friends...i think those who used to give responses immediately in the previous times they might be busy or not attending mylot regularly..or lastly your discussion may not attract the members...one thing is sure your friends are always with you,don't think other side...all the best and have a nice day... As per my observation few members who gave responses regularly to YOU ,they are not active since 10 days...like Buchi..sreekala..vandana..vatsala..am i right?

Hello friend, Its not your losing friend we are still here just sometimes the timing maybe doesn't match some of your friends time zone and they were not around that time you posted a topic.We are always here of course and sometimes maybe you cannot get some responses from friends because the topic doesn't suit their expertise. We are always here for you!

Hi yugasini, Maybe its the about the topic you are posted in your discussion. For me it is better to post good discussion that can get the interest of fellow mylotters. A discussion that every mylotters can be interested to response. So try to think that kind of discussions. Goodluck friend and happy mylotting.

I haven't started any discussion today but I am doing is do respond with discussion. So far I can't relate with your dilema. Maybe mylotters are out for something. It's Sunday here, some maybe out for church or out for malling.

Well a least I am responding. I don't post in many discussions, only in one's hat I find interesting or where I think I can contribute something. I may not be contributing much but at least I found your post interesting enough to respond to and you can at least know that one person knows you are there.
