With injuries to Yao and former teammate Mcgrady, Aaron Brooks was able to carry the load of the Houston Rockets to decent record on a tough western conference. Did he deserve to win the award?

Being from Houston myself and seeing a lot their games personally on tv I think that heck yeah he deserves the award.
Not because of his play(because to be honest he was already playing at this level in the playoffs last year) But the fact that he came in to this season without their two superstars Yao and Mcgrady(now the former superstar) and have to burden a lot of the scoring load on his back for most of the year.
So I personally think he deserves some kind of recognition for his effort and if it had to come by this, so be it.

Hopefully next year with a good lottery pick, yao and kevin martin stays healthy, the rockets would hopefully be a playoff contender. I want to see Jordan Hill improve if he's really worth being a lottery pick. Mike D Antoni didnt give him much playing time in New York. So a full season with the rockets would help.

Can a reunion between the Rockets and Brooks be in the horizon? Would it be beneficial for both parties? The irony is that the Suns traded for him and gave up Dragic. Now, They got Dragic back and the Rockets could end up getting Brooks back too.

Aaron Brooks deserves to be the Most Improved Player in this season. He has a decent showing and leading the team in scoring for many games even as a role of a point guard.
