One of my dreams in life is to go to Italy and have dinner with the locals, as Italians seem so friendly and loud in a good way. Of course I would like to know how their pizza and pasta taste like and if what fast food joints serve are any close to the real thing. I've never tried Italian pizza though. we've tried to make it at home when I was 13 years old, and back then we had a really old oven, so the dough failed to rise. It turned out hard as a rock! I'd like to try one of these days again.

I made my own pizza at home. I dont know how to make the crust so I always buy crust in the supermarket. I also buy different kinds of ingredients for the toppings. I always buy green bell pepper, mushroom, bacon and ham and pizza sauce. I also put two different kinds of cheese. I put cheddar cheese and quickmelt cheese. I cant afford to buy parmesan and mozzarella cheese cause they are really expensive.

I have never been to Italy, but I think I had some fairly genuine pizza in an Italian neighborhood in Chicago before. Yes, I make my own pizza, but I make it my way. I like alfredo sauce instead of tomatoes fennel and black olives, spinach, Mozarella, green peppers, onions, and Pecorino on mine.

I love pizza. And I love a good homemade pizza. I've tried out many recipes. It seemed I had the hardest time finding the right crust until I dug up one of my grandma's old recipes. I love buying the freshest ingredients for it too. My family likes meat pizzas so it's all about the pepperoni, the linguica, sausage and applewood bacon. I don't think I've ever had a real authentic Italian pizza but I'd love to try one if I ever found a good place that served them :)

I used to love making pizza at home! I would make the dough in my breadmaker and the kids and I would each make our own pizza. I remember one Thanksgiving that we made our own pizza as a break from tradition. Lots easier to clean up and no leftovers! It's also a fun family activity.

I love pizza too and that 's why I am responding to this one :)
Yes, we make pizza at home quite often and we gt the kids involved too. it's the only way my daughter will eat 'real' tomatoes. So I let her make a simple dough base and put on whatever topping she likes. generally she just goes for cheese and tomato, and sometimes she adds grapes and peppers on too. so to get your kids to eat a bit of extra veg it is well worth the effort.

Well, like you I also love to eat pizza. But as far as I know I have not eaten what you can call a real italian pizza? However, I make pizza's at home regularly.

Hi. I'm a pizza fanatic. I haven't tried to make my own pizza though. But one of the simplest way to do a 'so-called' pizza is i use baguette as a base instead of rolling my own dough:) but it still tastes great. The baguette will become very, very crispy. Not a real Italian pizza, i suppose..
