Hi Guys! I just came back from the province (my hometown) and guess what? there was NO internet! I mean back at the province there was not much as an internet cafe in that place, and I so missed going online and making new discussions and checking up with my friends..I mean has any of you ever had this kind of experience that you got used to going online all the time then suddenly you can't get online for a month? I mean seriously, I really hate it when I can't get online.

Despite the internet being a fairly recent activity for the general public, we often fail to appreciate how much we rely on it nowadays. I have been to numerous countries and always take my laptop with me so that I have internet access. I cannot think of anywhere that I have visited over the past few years that has not had at least an internet cafe available, although I can easily imagine how disappointing it must have been.

Not for a month, but for a week when we've gone on vacation. I just recently got a laptop so it wasn't like I even had a choice about it when we were away. I am looking forward to taking my laptop with me to place now though!

A month is way too long. A day for me is long enough. When I lose my internet connection at home, 20 minutes wait (plus checking all connection problems) is really stressing it to call customer support. But that usually happens when I have some important or anticipated things to do. Otherwise, some fresh air outside will remind me that there are some tings I can miss out on because the net is taking too much of my time. lol.

yes I guess you're right. a quick air breather outside of the house makes you forget about the problem..but only for a quick moment..hehehe

Hi treliw0, the longest period I had to do without an internet was for a whole week. Thus I bought a personal digital assistant so that I can still log on the net when I am abroad and there is a WiFi access point. But I do feel that a period away from internet and computer will do me good and help me physically to de intoxicate myself from the digital world.

I'm okay with it. I can go on life without checking online. Even here in the city there are times that i don't go online for 3 weeks to a month and i'm fine with it. no worries!

Hi yes, when one gets very much used to internet , surfing, socializing on net, then a sudden break will make one uncomfortable. It is common. But let me tell you frankly, if that un-comfort is more and u feel as if you are restless to get on to net then it is internet addiction. If that is the case with you, better reduce your exposure to net, slowly. Happy mylotting.

I felt that kind of frustration when our internet is out of connection due to some maintenance and stuffs like that. i think if you are doing it everyday, i mean getting on line, it's hard to resist not getting in front of the computer even for a while.
