ok ever heard dont kill the messagers? if not it means when a person comes and tell you something one else have said, people will get upset at the person who was sent to tell you.
i know when i have to be a messager for my dad, my brothers and sister will get upset at me, i am like dont kill the messager. i do the same with people often as well.
my wife was telling me about her time with her family and i got upset. she was like hey i am just the messager
why do people get upset at the person who are the one who deliver the message ?

I've been in that position before. It's because the messanger is the person you're talking to at the time so that is the person you react to if there's a strong reaction to what you've just been told. It's hard not to kill the messanger sometimes. :)

I think that at the moment, there is no one else to be upset with. The bearer of bad news is dreaded. It's like checking the mailbox knowing there will be nothing but bills..lol..I also think that people who deliver messages are sometimes seen as trying to cause problems even though that is not true in most cases.

I think its the way the messengers present the message. Usually its said in a demeaning way, or they rub it in your face, or sometimes the person claiming to "just be the messenger", is actually the person making the statement.

Hi.
I think I also get this bad habbit......
Some unexpected and abrupt things happened,I just cannt control myself to pour all the emotion to the "messagers" as soon as I hear it .It's ok if it's a good news, but things are bad if it's not. However,my most undue action is just begin to nag with anger.I think I'm also supposed to make some change on it,right?

I think all people react impulsively to everything they hear. You show that reaction to the person in front of you. Unfortunately, if you are the messenger, you become a recipient of the reaction be it good or bad. I think the onus is on each of us to be able to hear news, take a step back, analyse what was conveyed and then react appropriately towards whom we should show our reaction to. There are very few people who can exert this sort of control.
