How Did You Pick Your Wedding Date?

I got married on the 29th of August. It was the date, at least close to the day, that I first met him on the Queen Mary. He was 19. Our honeymoon started out on the Queen Mary. Very romantic and a little haunting. Unfortunately, we were divorced 15 years later. My advice, don't marry a 19 year old musician who is also an artist (like Van Gogh) . . . very moody! He loves his kids though. How did you pick your wedding date?

We got married on the ten year anniversary of the day we first started 'goin' out' in high school. We broke up and got back together a few times between but that day remained so special, even when it came and we weren't together. I loved the idea of having the same anniversary. Plus we were never really able to establish another one after getting back together!

I'm getting married this weekend, on the 1st May. My partner and I are both pagan and we wanted a Beltaine wedding.

My husband picked ours because probably like most couples we couldn't agree. Then my husband said March 20, the first day of spring and we both liked it. It was interesting because it was rainy that day and yet when we walked out of then church, all around the building it was sunny, no clouds, but there was a circle of clouds and rain everywhere else. My husband of course pointed it out as a sign, but I don't know.. Now my sisters is very interesting date. April 1, yep April fools day. Her husband also picked it out because every other date she mentioned he would say no to. They had an outdoor wedding at a park and she lives a good distance away, so I don't see her much. When we showed up, (now usually we are late) there was no one around and I thought, great, she picked this date to pull a trick on me just so she can see me..lol.. But what happened is she was late, and she had a beautiful wedding..:)

I don't remember, actually. It may be that we picked the weekend based on when we could get vacation and then we picked the Sunday instead of the Saturday because the hall and/or the church were booked on Saturday. But I seriously don't remember...

My husband and I met eachother on Valentines day, and we talked about getting married on that day, but in my country February is one of the winter months and the weather is pretty cold, so we thought that it would be nice to get married in the spring instead. We decided to married in May, and at first we wanted to get married on the the 14th of May as we had met eachother on the 14th of February, but we had to get married on a Saturday so we ended up choosing the 16th of May instead.

I really dont remember. I think it was probably just because it was a day that the Church & vicar were available. It was at the end of July.
