What do you expect from a man/woman in your life?

Arguably, most of the time we assume that the people entering in our lives have or at least should have the same expectations that we do. Unfortunately, not only that men and women are wired differently (because of our genders), but obviously our past experience molds our expectations, visions, dreams and understandings as that experience is unique for each of us. So, in this context, what do you expect from a woman/man in your life and what do you think his/her expectations are?

I expect my wife to be a caring wife and a responsible one. She will take good care of our children as i go to work. I want her also to have her own opinions. I'm just sick of having to decide for the relationship. I want the decisions to be made by both of us. That's a healthy marriage for me.

It's so natural to have expectations from the person we love. Of course I expect loyalty. I expect to be everything that she needs so she won't have to look at another person again. And vice versa. I expect that she becomes everything that I need.
