What's it mean when you have a recurring dream? I have had a few. This one really sticks out in my mind and I can't seem to shake it. It was about me in a clearing in the woods on my 4 wheeler and I saw 2 cubs. As soon as I saw them I started looking for the mamma bear and sure enough I was right between them. And everytime in the dream I get off the 4 wheeler and run into a pile of brush and logs and the mamma bear is trying to get me in there. Growling at me and slobber is getting all over me and shes just inches away from getting me, then I wake up. I always think after that dream why do I keep getting off the 4 wheeler? How dumb are you. Does anyone else have recurring dreams or know what they mean?

I love dream interpretation although I do not claim to be able to do it I use a website I have always found quite accurate on the topic. It is called dreammoods.com and so here are some of the things I looked up about your dream from the site... quite interesting. A repetitive pattern in your dream reveals some of the most valuable information about yourself. It may point to a conflict, situation, or matter in your life that remains unresolved or unsettled. Some underlying message in your unconscious is demanding to be understood. To dream you are riding in a vehicle denotes that you are in control of your life. So maybe we can assume getting off the vehicle when you know it's not safe can mean you are willingly giving up control when you know you shouldn't because it isn't safe, but I think you do it to help others. Like the cubs which represents innocence, playfulness and/or mischievousness (symbolic of your children or siblings). To dream you are being pursued or attacked by a bear denotes aggression, overwhelming obstacles and competition. You may find yourself in a threatening situation. The last thing I was able to get information on the logs. To see logs in your dream represents unconscious ideas and a significant and meanining aspect of yourself. Alternatively, it signifies a transformation. You are headed toward a new direction in your life. You asked so this is the information I got from dream moods and from what I'm reading may be something you want to pay attention to. If I knew you I would probably know how to relate it to your life so its probably better I don't so you can see how it applies on your own. I hope it helps give some insight, and check out that website its awesome.

Thank-you so much. At that time I was headed for a big change and was worried about my daughter. It makes sense. I will definitely check-out that website to figure out some of the other ones I've had.

hey roxxtime..i liked your interpretation of lyla's dream. think i should check out the website you mentioned. i have had so many recurring dreams that once when i had nothing better to do, i picked up an pen and paper and made a list of all the recurring dreams i have had from time to time. my list was around 20 recurring dreams long and counting as those were as much as i could think of then, i'm sure there would have been more. i have tried searching online for websites that interpret dreams but all the ones i came across were vague or very general in nature and not specific to the dreams or details in my dreams. also was not too happy with the responses posted on those sites. i really want answers to all my dreams, especially my recurring dreams. it's a world that totally fascinates me.

I know I am also fascinated by it and it dates way back to the bible days, and dreams always have some sort of significant meaning I think otherwise we wouldn't remember them. Do check out the site because recurring dreams always have a meaning.

hey lyla.. i get plenty of recurring dreams. one of the most recurrent one is of snakes. it changes from time to time but the main subject of the dream remains the same-snakes all over the place . every time i try to avoid one, there's another one lurking behind of in front of me. sometimes they bit me but the bite is never fatal and it feels more like a scratch than a bite. i really wanna know what they mean.!

Recurring dreams have to have a special meaning. Something is unfinished and your subconscious doesn't want you to let go of it. Sooner or later your subconscious will show your conscience mind the way to go. Possibly then the recurring dreams will end.

Recurring dreams happen because your sub conciouss is trying to constantly send you a message and until you understand that message properly it will not stop. Take it from someone who knows about this stuff :)

I do have recurring dreams at times. Mostly though, I dream about family members who have passed on. I believe that sometimes our dreams are trying to tell us something. I believe that it is up to us to determine what it might be. Perhaps, you are concerned about loosing someone you care about? This could be why you are having the same dream over and over. Take the time to think about what your dream means. Carl Jung wrote a very good book on what dreams mean.
