I've been on Weight Watchers for about 3 months now but recently i've been lacking my motivation. I was wondering if there are any fellow Weight Watchers out there who might give me some advice/thoughts to get me back on track...

I've been doing weight watchers for almost a year now. I've had a lot of ups and downs but I've been trying to stick with it. I think it helps to have a buddy. i've lost almost 25 so far, but over a year that isn't that great. I wish it was more, but I guess that isn't too bad. When I started I had a friend going with me, but then she had to quit going because she didn't have the money to pay. So I struggled for a while by myself and it was winter too. A new friend joined up with me 3 months ago and it helped boost my motivation again. We also joined the gym, which I had never done before. I think you just need to remember what you are doing it for. For me it is my kids. I have 3 small children and I got tired of watching daddy have all the fun with them because mommy was too out of shape to do anything.

Having a buddy really does make a difference. My co-worker started WW which is what encouraged me to join. We both do online verses the meetings so to have each other really means a lot towards success. She really got off track several weeks ago with a new "guy", parties, and "cheating" here and there with snacks so i think that kinda brought me down a little. I think that i really depend on her to much for my success. 25 over a year isnt that bad. A loss is a loss regardless of how long it takes to get there. I think (and my doctor agrees) that i am just a fast "loser". The cons of that however is that i think im going to plateau quickly and it will be extremely hard to get myself over the hump when it comes. I also lost 6 pounds the first week too which doesnt really count either. I dont know if you do this or not but i also measure myself every weigh in day. I prefer that a lot more to my weight loss. Depending on what your doing for workouts (if anything) your scale may not move very much if your gaining muscle. I really dont care if my scale moves or not i just want to see inches come off. If you dont measure i would definately suggest you give it a try. It will definately give you more of an "edge" if the scale brings you down. Good luck with your future success and thank you for your story and support!!

i tried every diet out there for years with no success, then finally i went by portion size, i eat "nothing" of 1 food larger than my fist and lost 83 pounds in 10 months. my knees dont hurt anymore, my back is better, and my hips grind with the best of them on the dance floor, now this doesn't mean you can eat a piece of cake the size of your fist, will power has to work in that instance, and once you see the pounds start dropping before ya know it you'll be where you want to be weight wise. i myself happen to like fruit and veggies but if you dont buy v-8 fusion lite and down a glass of that, worked for me after years of useless counting calories, plan a plan b all that crap, i also found if i eat a can of soup ( i use progresso ) for lunch ( only 100 calories by the way it will keep you full throughout the day. if i get hungry at nite a glass of v-8 fusion, good luck in your endeavor, you CAN do it.

Thanks Max for your response! I have had a nice start to success with WW so far. I've currently lost 22.5 pounds and actually enjoy my time with WW. I have to agree with the progresso soup. They have some nice WW progresso soups too. The Vegetable Noodle one is really good and very filling. I think i need to just get my head out of the clouds and back to reality. I'll start telling myself every morning that i can have pizza, chinese, or other "eat out" foods and expect to look FANTASTIC in a swim suit this summer!
