what is on facebook that is very addicting to us online users?

I always have facebook open in a tab on my computer. I don't know why I'm addicted. I think I'm just nosy and want to know what all my friends are doing and saying all the time. Or maybe it's just a good way to kill time. Although now that I found this site, I don't FB quite as much but it's still open in a tab, even now!

Hi, I guess facebook has more features than friendster. Mainly, facebook has a chat whereas friendster has none. Facebook has so many games which I find very addicting that is why after I check with whatever wall posts I have, I immediately go to my applications and play my games. I think the games are one of the major factors why it is very addictive.

because of the friendly and clean layout. also the games is fantastic. they could hide the ages and many privacy setting which is absent in friendster and other networking sites.

I enjoyed friendster before because it makes me choose and create a background profile that fits my personality and style. It makes me boost my ego. LOL. But facebook has many applications that are really interesting that's why I switched to using it. Changing background profile bores me.

i create and used facebook before but i really don't get hooked up easily until i found some interesting games like farmville, and now almost everyday i open it..that's why it's very addictive because you dont leave facebook or log it out without doing nothing or no such reason to open it again,but because you had a pending things to do with it like harvesting or else it wll get withered,.all of your efforts will be wasted if you don't open it again..so for me that's the reason why,because of the games that only facebook have.XD

I am not addicted to face book and I don't know why. Or maybe because I can't browse that social site at the office. when i am renting computer outside I am busy with youtube and nothing else. I am so lame to know what is happening with my friends on facebook. I don't care really. Friendster looks boring now. Even multiply.

First, i get updated with my friends activity. I can also post links. Invite other people, so I can get referrals. i also enjoy watching videos, viewing photos and reading humor comments. You can also earn money in facebook. Just explore the site and you'll see.

Sometimes the simple things are the most addicting. I guess that is why Facebook is so popular. It just draws you in. You think you will only spend a couple of minutes on it, just checking everything out and then get drawn into everything on the website. There are many websites on the Internet that are like this. After all, there are few things that are simpler than Twitter, that there are many, many people who use that website on a daily basis. I have never really caught the Facebook bug. I just never was a big fan of it. I have my own page that I check maybe weekly. However, I know people who are addicted to that website. The games on the website are something that keeps bringing them back from what I have heard. I have never tried them and knowing that I might get drawn in to spend a bit more time than I would like. Still the simplest things are the most addictive. They can be deceptive and not seem like much. However, when looking around you slowly get drawn in bit by bit. That is the reason why Facebook and other social websites online are popular. They seem simple and thus seem like something that we would not spend that much time on. However, before we know it, we are going to burn up more time then we ever would have thought.

i have no activity at facebook and my account is now deactivated by me. i haven't played on farmville yet but my cousins like facebook. they look sad when they fail to open their fb accounts.

according to me.. perhaps facebook have so many applications, games, facility. and on facebook we can be chatting with our friends all over the world. really easy for the user to get friendship on facebook, even get relationship on facebook we can. we can make a group or disscusion about any topic, or give a support to someone through facebook. as we know facebook is the largest social networking site in the world today

The games! I know people that play two or three of those games at once. I only deal with one game on Facebook and that is Country Life.

hmm welll, I don't use facebook that often so it's not at all addicting to me. buttt, myspace is probably "addicting" for me. Im not sure why, jus because we spend so much time on it talking to our friends that time kinda passes.. and then most of the time when I get bored of talking I'll listen to music and add stuff to my playlist so it takes up a lot of my spare time. so I guess you can say that its addicting.. :)

hmm... the reason why I often open my facebook is to know the status updates of my friends and I can write a comment on it (at friendster I am not sure we can add our comment on friends status). These status updates and my friends activities can easily seen on homepage. Besides that, I also enjoy many games that provided by facebook.

am very much addicted to yoville ,farmtown and farmville...the only reason why i use facebook.
