Social Networking sites BOON or CURSE.....!

After reading so many security sites I really am in doubt that social networking sites are boon or curse to us..!As many Hacker's all over the world are targeting this sites to obtain the mail id and also hack the password so they can misuse the account for different purposes..Should we continue to use this sites....?

yeah,Every good thing has a bad part too. Social Networking sites are growing in popularity nowadays but ii is upto you to protect your information. Some guide lines 1.Always read the ‘Terms of Service’ or ‘Terms of Use’ of any social networking site before accepting it and filling the site with your personal details!!! 2.Do not user public cafe to access your profile.If you have no other choice then a.Never store the password in browser memory. b.Never use any java scripts if you are not aware of it.It can steal your browser cookies. c.Do not pass valuable information through these sites like acc. no to your friends etc d.Finally never try deface another person by creating fake profile.It is a serious cyber crime and the internet police will track you and hunt you down Okay!!!!!!!

Hello Every new development has plus and minus. Like this social networking website also have some boon and curse to us and to our community. Boons are easily communication and promoting website and products. Curse are spamming and privacy crimes. Thanks

ah i think is a curse, not precise for what you might think, but fur the fact that they can know all your life and people stop socializing for real, that is more worrying than someone taking your identity

As it is said every coin has two side... in the same way every technology have two sides. one is good and other is bad. but people must try to concentrate on good side..
