Do you think the show CSI was better with William Peterson as Gill Grisom or do you like it better with Lawrence Fishburn? I want to know what you think and why. Be specific on this one.

I have been watching CSI since the first season. I miss Grisom, now that he is off the show.
Lawrence is a great actor. In fact, great is an understatement. He is a brilliant actor. But his character is kinda bookish, you know?
Grisom was so much more interesting as a character and I loved the way he tackled cases. A boss everyone would love to have. :)

It's really hard to tell because both have different characters on the show. For sure, if you have them on the show together, it'll be wicked awesome!
Grissom is good because he's not only book smart but street smart too, he has the initative to study, and knows a wide variety of things. He's a weird little guy that has a great insight.
Langston on the other hand is sorta bookish but more fun-loving. He's more of a socializer. What CSI is doing now is it infuses the episodes with medical stuff to fit Langston's character in, unlike with Grissom episodes, it could be any crime.
although, Lawrence Fishburn is great! he's a great actor, and it was funny when he was starting out as a CSI! that big bag of his is so hilarious!
It;s still to early to tell if Fishburn's better than Peterson, but you've gotta admit, episodes now are kinda boring. (probably because it's on its 10th season?)

I think Bill was really a cornerstone for the program. He didn't really fit with the stereotypical police boss in previous cop dramas. He had alot of individual traits and intricacies to the character.
Laurence is actually very good at his part too and i think they really needed a strong character to come in and take on a similarly structured character.
Overall i preferred the original, but as life and CSI goes on, its still a good show.

Having only watched the first season of CSI with Laurence Fishburne in, I prefer it with William Peterson. It needs a couple of seasons without the "Grissom" presence to see how it pans out. William Peterson was the perfect actor to lead the series and so it will be a lot different. Personally, I think Laurence will do a fine job - he is one of my favourite actors so maybe it will be easier for me to adjust to the change than other people.

I never missed an episode of CSI when Grissom was in the cast. I liked his quirks, his little ways. I only watch CSI now and again because of the change. It's not that I don't like Lawrence Fishburn, it was just better before he arrived.
