HI Whiteheather :) I live in Oklahoma !! I do have a home in Montana tho.
Yep,next month is May and and hopefully I won't miss two months(I must have typed that wrong !) ! I am soooo looking forward to spending the 4th here in Oklahoma this year with my grandkids and a few close friends.
Yep, as one mylotter put it, we are at the RIPE OLD of 60...........and wearing jeans LOL I doubt I ever forget THAT post !
She doesn't know it but I was wearing jeans before she was born and will do so til I die LOL
But I hate the way time just moves on and on and I seem to wake up and wonder where did the time go.
And, hey, where do you live???
LOL, I imagine we both live here on earth LOL
I do take time to smell the roses and listen to the rain on the roof. I have enough to keep me busy and I do work hard and still times just goes POOF !!!
Talk to you later,

I too feel it this way many times and you know what, it is good to feel it this way... Because I have known people who find it hard to spend time. Yes, they have a lot of time and nothing much to do.. No work! We're lucky to feel it the other way, which means our time is consumed in creative activities... :)
Have a great time!

Yes, there is always work there and funnily it is there for only those who want to work... LOL.. There are many people around who don't work, even if there is a lot of work... They have plenty of money and don't need to look for a job... I used to feel jealous of such people in the past. But with time, I realized that these people become idle very soon. No work, no exercise and that affects their health, emotional intelligence etc... Yes, I know a few people like that Quita... I am sure you have known some too...
Have a great time!

excellent point ! I do stay busy and sometimes, I think too blasted busy !
I can't imagine anybody not having anything to do...........or work to do.There is always a drawer to clean out or a part time job in any little town.
I am glad you brought this thought up !
Thanks !

You only feel that time is passing quickly is when you are having fun. It is a psychological thing. If you are experiencing it often, good you are happy with your life. If it seems to be moving slow, you are very stressed. Remember: whoever you are, whatever part of the world you may be, time still moves the same speed from now till eternity.

What a thought !! Thanks ! I am enjoying life now. I had two heart attacks and guess maybe I am taking time more seriously now and enjoy my son and grandkids.
Time does seem to be moving faster tho.
It was only yesterday I was a kid myself and now have three wonderful grandsons!
I suppose you are right. time isn't moving faster, it's just me wanting more !
Thanks for the kind response.

yes time is flying by so quickly. there just doesn't seem to be enough hours in the day to do all the things i have to do. there are so many tasks being thrown at me that i don't know where to start and before i know it another day has gone by. sometimes i wish time would stop for a while so that i can catch up.

So true! Time does not wait does it ???
And it seems the more we have to do the less time we have doesn't it??
I sometimes wish time would just slow down and let me catch my breath ! Just a few hours or a day even would help.
But hang in there and I think the answer is readjusting our time and if that doesn't work, just ENJOY the time we have with our loved ones. They are the most important things in life anyways.

time waits for no one so we just do what we can and try to enjoy every moment because once it passes it's gone forever. time management and setting priorities may make us feel we have some control but do we really?

Yeah feel the same too. And sometimes it also has to do with my age. I can not believe it is already May next week, already nearing the end of the first half of the year. I have so many thing I want to do but so little things accomplished and I am aging! I do not know if this is what they call mid-life crisis or what! And who knows in just a blink it is Christmas again.

No, it's not a mid life crises at all. It's due to our time being misspent I think at least.
Really tho, I keep busy and plan ahead and have to keep a calendar of events so as not to forget. Time excapes me. I am 61 and time just flies by.
I know that even today I've been up almost 6 hours and do not know where my time goes.
I can tell you all I did but how did I do it so fast LOL
Yes, the first half of the year is almost gone and I too will be able to file for social security in June................dah? who Me????
I hate to even think about Christmas. You are right it's only a blink away til we sing Here Comes Santa !!
Shoot !! I'll be a great grandma if time doesn't slow down !!!

Boy do I understand time flying by being scary! No!~ It is not just you !You certainly are not alone in this battle to make time slow down.
Tell me tho, if you could go back in time, what would you change?????
I know what I'd change but his page isn't big enough to put it all on !
I would start with my high school years and learn more, then on to college and get a better education. I would not marry so young.
I love my son and grandkids but looking back I see where I messed up.
Many, many things I'd change.
How's bout you, what would you change??

Time does seem to be flying by faster as i get older. I remember being in school and thinking time was going SOO slow. But after you have kids time seems to go by super fast. I guess its because you want time to go slower knowing one day they will grow up and move on to a life of there own therefore you see the time moving on and it seems like its in fast forward. I guess with time going by faster thats when we should make sure we make every second matter for you never know what we might miss.

I relate to this! I have been talking to an old classmate and we too have decided time is not on our side ! But we have grown old, raised kids and now have grandkids and school now seems a million miles away. And, yes , back then time did seem to go sooo slow.
Fast forward. Hadn't thought of it that way but is how it is happening.
Taking time to smell the roses so to speak wouldn't hurt any one of us.
I really do not want to miss one second of what life has left to offer me.
I hope you can slow down and enjoy life. I'm certainly trying.
Hang in there.

I think time is flying by as it only seems like Christmas was a few days ago rather than the 4 months that have passed.I now have a daughter that has turned 18 and i am feeling rather old at that thought as it only feels like yesterday that she was still in school.I am now thinking that Christmas will be here very soon again.

Isn't it just awful how time seems to just vanish ??? Just yesterday I was battling an ice storm here in Oklahoma and now I'm battling heat??? And, as soon as I turn around I'll be putting up the Christmas tree???
I too am feeling old but finding out time is rushing by for most everyone.
I know you are proud of that daughter ! What an age!
Take care,

I agree with you quita! Time is passing too quickly and once time passes it can't be repeated It's been like last year that i'm an 18yrs old lady that's happy go lucky and then suddenly hello to real world of adults. A lot of routinary works and studying makes me feel I've wasted a lot already because I haven't done all I wanted to do in a specific time.

I have asked others what they'd change if they could. What would you change if you could??
I'll add that, I'll spend more time with my son and grandkids as well go more, do more. I'm not a traveler per sey but I'd spend more time in my garden and can foods like we used to do and make life simpler and not so hard to keep up with.
So, so let me know what you'd do or change in the next year.
I would like about 20 years back too LOL
thanks!

Am I missing something, or are you just speeding us up even more. Next month is May. I have a lot happening between now and July. Don't do that to me, because yes, as you said, time is just zipping by. The time in front of the computer zips by as well, and all of my good intentions to go to bed early are gone. It is not early, it is late.

Hi, quita88. Yes, in a sense time is flying by fast. I remember welcoming in the New Year while it was so cold. But now, it is getting warmer as the days go by. It will be May in a couple of more days. I know that many people can't wait to see the nice and warm weather kick in. My son will be getting out of school at the end of next month. That is a very short time from now, I must say.

Sorry to be so long in getting to this discussion. I have grandsons playing ball and that takes up so much of my time! And, my time is zooming faster every day it seems.
I am however learning to appreciate the smaller things in life. Like, yesterday drivng to a far away game there were wildflowers abloom everywhere and in every color imaginable ! I could smell their fragrance as I drove and I made mental notations of fields just gleeming with flowers.
Coming home, it was late and the stars were out and clouds streaked the sky like a stoke of white paint on blue canvass. Gorgeous !
So, I'm trying to hold on to the things /memories that count.
Hang in there, open your mind and heart to things that make you smile.!

i don't think it is with our age. time really flies so fast. i really couldn't imagine, it was almost yesterday when i have to carry my son in my arms to make him stop crying, when you know that he feels hungry, seems like asking for another bottle of his milk. but now, he's 3 and you cannot almost make him stop crying when he says, i want my milk. and if you are busy, you cannot just leave what you are doing. time flies so fast.

Yes, I do think time flies by too fast. It seems like the older you get the faster it goes. I think it's due to being busy all the time and having fun. We're supposed to get together for drill team practice out at EASI tomorrow depending on how the weather is. It seems like just a few days ago when we had practice. I always dread Mondays. However, it's Friday again before you know it. Kathy.

EASI is the acronym for "Equines Assisting Special Individual". We teach children and adults with disabiliites how to ride horseback out there. I ride on the drill team out there I was thinking I sent you the link to the website out there. If I didn't, here it is: www.easi.webs.com. The last time I checked it out, my picture still wasn't on there. Maybe one of these days, it will be, though, and I will let youall know. I ride the big Palomino named "Yellow" and his picture is on here. Practice went very well today, although it was very windy and somewhat cool. We had a bad storm here Saturday Night and several houses and businesses in the county were destroyed or messed up. Several people were without power but nobody was hurt as far as I know. My power kind of flickered for a few minutes but other than that, I didn't have any problems. March and April is a bad time for storms and tornadoes in Alabama!
Thank you for the best response, btw! Kathy.

Yes, time doesn't stop for anyone does it? I hope you are right tho and cuz I stay busy all the time that is why it seems like time escapes me.
I am not sure what EASI is. But hope the weather hold for you. I too dread Mondays but here it is Tues. and I have another busy week ahead of me too.
But by this time next week I'll be wondering where all of this week went!!
Enjoy is the answer I suppose !
