Perhaps they always have some fresh vegetable and I love vegetables, that's all.I think everyone will be different. Some may go to the bread section and get their French bread first especially when the fresh baked bread are all smell good..mmm...Yummy?Well,tell us about your experience?

For me, it's always vegetables and fruits section, simply because these are the sections at the entrance in the supermarket that I usually go. I usually take a trolley, and start shopping from the entrance. I'll stop by wherever I have things to buy, till the counters.

Hey,I have the same interest as you have as well.I will always go to the vegetables and fruits section as well.Because I can find my apples and oranges in there and also veggie like lettuce, potatoes, tomatos, onion and many many more .Shopping is a really fun experience if just do it for once awhile. But if shopping for food need is a habit for every single day,it may not be an enjoyable experience. In our Chinese culture,we wants things fresh all the time and doesn't like any frozen food. That's why the housewife need to do thgeir shopping every single day in order to catch up the fresh food for their families. They neldom plan their menu in advance but just to figure it out by the time their get to the supermarket or market area.I appeciate the western culture that frozen food can shorten our time in purchasing food.Because just buy everything once a week and put it in the freezer or fidge, that's all.It really save a lot of time and use those time to do something else, rather than spend time in supermarket.Anyway, thank you for your sharing and enjoy your supermarket experience in the future.

Oh yes, definately. How can we miss discount. You know something ,in my city.the supermarket always will give you a stamp if you bought 50 dollars or 60 dollars. It depends on what kkind of things they will promote at that time.Last time, with 180 stamps, you will have nice pot for free. This time, all you need is 60 stamps and you will have a knife from a very propular brand which is made with carbon stainless steel.I hope I will get it on before the end of their promotion.Of course ,they jsut want to attract their customers to spend more money in the supermarket. But if you are going to buy their stuffs in a regular basis anyway, why not have some bonus from the supermarket then. There are some peopl who will always wait outside the cashier desk and wait for people who doesn't want the stamps everyday.I wouldn't do things like that but you can see how crazy the customers will be .(if there is just a small gift for them). If there any more discount program, people will be more crazy about the supermarket as well.In our city ,only two supermarket chain will dominate all the grocery in the city. They always in competition between themselves. But if you are in he other places,I amk sure there will be more competition.Well,I think the customers like it anyway.Who doesn't want to spend less money and get more stuffs back to their own home. But usually they will end up spend more money and the supermarket will always be the big winner of all.

It all depends on the layout of the grocery store. The two stores I go to the most , I enter at the produce section. I start there and then go up and down the aisles until I reach the meat section at the back and then continue on up and down each aisle. That's on an organized day. Other times or should I say most of the time...I just go forward and backtrack and go forward, backtrack and still get home and find I've forgotten something important.

Wow,look at your post. You have 12163 post in mylot.Great earning ^_^.I have your experience too.I always go to supermarket to buy different kinds of food. But after I went home,I always forgot something and end up have to go back once again or have to go back the next day.I think it is better to write down a list before we go to doing our groceries shopping but unfortunately,no all people have that habit and sometimes it is a bit of waste of time to create a check list just for supermarket. But the reality is that if we don't do that, once we have to go back again,it will waste more time of our life. You don't want to go back for just a chocolate bar or va pack of egg, right? Well, although I knew it,but still I will always do the same and keep going back again and again.Well, I think I need more self-improvement too.Have a good day.

For me it is always the fresh produce department first. The main reason that this is the first department that I visit is because it is the first department that one sees when walking into almost every supermarket that is around here. This is also a great first part of the store to visit for me because I can get as much fresh fruits and vegetables as I can because I am able to see the sale prices on those items before I've visited the frozen section.

I usually go in the order of the store, unless I only need a certain thing. The first place I go is to the deli to get some lunch meat. Then, to the bread aisle. I love fresh bread too! Then, it's off to the product section, the cheese section, the meat section, the dairy section, and then all the other aisles for miscellaneous things. I must go shopping way too often, because I know the store by heart - lol!

I always hit the veggie/fruit aisle first. Most grocery stores are set up to lead the customer to that section first. I love fresh veggies & fruit and I want them in the cart first so that I can find them a nice secure spot right up top where they will not be smashed! I also have my list printed out in the order of the aisles at the store. I know what is on sale, what I have coupons for etc. more organized that way and I have to be organized with a 7 month old. Of course he loves to go to the grocery store because he gets flirted with by all the women! LOL!
Now if I am going in on just a brief stop and grab some milk or bread I will head toward that direction. I agree with you about the smell of the fresh bread....makes my mouth water!!!

I visit fruits section first to get the fruits. I love fruits and want to get the good ones before anyone else grab those. after that it may be dairy product section to get the milk, butter.

When I go to supermarkets, I first visit the meat section, not because I want to get the premium cuts but because I am trying to stretch out my budget. I buy meat first then fish and after wards, I will try to allocate the remaining money in my pocket for some vegetable and some toiletries. Anyway, toiletries can be bought in the nearby store if anytime within the week it is used up. Unlike the meat and the fish, which are not easily available in the neighborhood.

I always have a list so that I wont miss anything. But without a list, I usually go to the bread section, then to dairy, or to the fruit section. I try to avoid the junk food area because I'm trying to have a healthy lifestyle. Ok, sometimes, I bought one or two, but in just the small one because I don't wan to overindulge.
I also shouldn't forget, ice cream is a must, especially now that the weather here in the Philippines is so hot. Ice cream provides somewhat a relief and it's also good if you need to gain weight like me.

If I'm just food shopping I get to the fruits and veggies first and then work my way down each isle that I need something from and leave the cold section for last. It just makes sense to me rather than being all over the store. I try to keep food shopping and non food shopping days separate. For non food shopping days I will head for the clothes first because they are kind of right there in my face when I get in the store and plus we have to spend time trying everything on so its best to get all that out of the road before doing anything else.

The first things I'd grab will be bread and bacon. These two sections are just next to each other. Then I will move on to the fruits section which is further down the aisle, and then the rest will be miscellaneous stuff.

I don't have a specific section in the supermarket to go first. It depends on what I need or want to buy. I am not the type of person who sets strict rules, or do a routine. I do activities according to its needs/wants. There are times, I would go first to beverages sections, or fruit, or meat, or cosmetics, it really depends.
