I am definitely an extrovert, even if I sometimes like to be alone. The definition of extrovert and introvert is linked to the MBTI, isn't it? The MBTI is some kind of a "personality" that everyone has. My MBTI is ENFJ. The different possibilities of your MBTI are E or I (extrovert or introvert), N or S (I don't remember what they mean), T or F (I don't remember these neither), and finally, J or P (don't remember these neither). My parents are working in a company that does this kind of work with other companies. The company where they work is called "Innotiimi" and it's website is http://www.innotiimi.com/site/.
I know that I am extrovert because my parents are like "experts" on this matter
There are no merits and demerits of being an introvert or extrovert, they both can be very talkative, and both can be very quite. The only "real" difference is that introverts think more inside their heads and like to be alone, and the extroverts get energy from people around them and they usually do talk a lot more (this isn't a real difference). However, both introverts and extroverts may want to be alone or be around their friends.
Hope that I didn't confuse you too much with this, because I am already confused myself
