If you had money to spend, how would you spend it?

If you were given $25,000 to spend, but you had only one day to spend it, what would you buy? For me, I would buy my father a new car, because he is having financial problems. It wouldn't be an expensive car, but it would be new. After that, I would pay off my older cars, so that I wouldn't have anymore debt. What would you do?

We are moving so the money would go to stock up the kitchen with herbs and canned foods and such, pay the rent, deposit and get us some furniture. We need everything. We need another bed, couch, a chair, dinette set, book shelves, chest of drawers, clothes, shoes, and toiletries. Ya, I could make good use of it!

I have nothing. Left it all to my daughter. So my granddaughter and I are starting from scratch.

Moving does cost so much money. We spent a ton when we moved. We sold everything we had before we left, so we had to replace everything. It was fun, but expensive.

If I was handed 25,000 dollars I would first pay off my bills. Then I would send my parents 5,000 dollars. Then I would send 4,000 to my boyfriend so he can put a new electronic fence around our home in Puerto Rico. I would give both my daughters a couple of thousand each add one thousand to my granddaughter bank account and then 1000 would be divided into the charities that I believe in. The rest which would be about 3000 would go into my savings. That 25,000 dollars went a long way don't you think?

Yes, it certainly does seem like a lot of money when you break it down the way you did! I wish you could have the money to do the things you want!

If I have $25,000 I would use it to buy medicines for maintenance, canon dslr camera, new laptop, new outfits, new shoes and flip flops... then i would share some with my hubby, family and mom's side of the family, donate to church and charity, buy a second hand car( hyundai getz or kia picanto), start a small business, etc... :)

It sounds like you like clothes and shoes! I would probably buy some clothes and shoes too. I usually hate shopping because I don't want to spend the money. But, if I had a good amount of money, it would be fun!

If I had had $25,000 I would invest it in mutual funds, trust funds and stocks. That way my money will grow in time.

I guess it would be a nice start to help you put a down payment on a house. I guess every little bit helps!

I would do something similar. With about 7,500 I would pay off my car wich is the biggest debt I have and with the remaining 17,500 and a morgage I would buy a house of my own, not a expensive one, but a place to be with my wife and our dog. It would be real nice to have 25,000 to spend, even if that money was needed to be spent on just one day :D

I think we will have a nice trip to enjoy the life if we get this money suddenly. And then during our vacation, we will taste nice food. It is time for us to take a break:) After that, I will save or invest the rest money and then go back to work. I love China

I was going to say the same thing as you. Of course I would have to talk it over with my husband, but I would buy my dad a car too so that maybe he could have a chance to get ahead for a change. Then we would probably just put the rest away for a rainy day or pay a little extra towards our mortgage. Our cars and motorcycles are all paid for and we have no debt right now except for our mortgage and we already have money set aside for a vacation. We would like to build an outdoor living space in the back of the house but after buying the car there would not enough left to do that. Maybe we would do a partial bit of the job.

I would spend the money on my mortgage as that way i would have alot less things to worry about aswell as that i know the mortgage would be paid up alot earlier aswell so i would not have to wait as long for it to finish. This is the only thing i would do with the money.

That would actually be an easy decision for me to make. I would pay off our family's debt management plan so that the only debt that we would have going forward would be our mortgage payment. And, our balance on our mortgage would be a few thousand dollars less as well because what money it didn't take to pay off our DMP would go onto the mortgage. My ultimate goal is to be completely out of debt by the time that I am 40 years old and that would go a long way toward making this dream a reality.

first of all, i'll buy a nice and expensive electric guitar. that's my no.1 priority. and then maybe a car or a bike(i like bikes so much), clothings, etc. this are all i can think of now. maybe more necessities will emerge if i actually have the money.

I would buy us a new family car and a little van, ours are quickly turning into money guzzlers and the van is in need of repair...again. My daughter tells me she wants an ipod, so I coulod probably stretch to that too.

Cars do seem to drain the wallet. They are our number one debt causer too! I'm sure your daughter would be happy to get that ipod!

I would probably spend the money on opening an investment account and hiring a fund manager for small investors. This I think is the best way that i could spend the money as it would ensure that I had income so I had money to spend for a much much longer time.
