Do rules make a religion?

Do rules make a religion? Are you happy carrying on with how faith leaves you? Should you expect nothing? Or everything? Should you believe blindly what people tell you to be true or look for the answers yourself?

Having followers and believers make a religion. Without belief, religion could not exist. Why do you think they offer eternal bliss with no problems for eternity???? That's what everyone thinks they want. Of course, you will never get it without them.If heavenly reward doesn't convince you then fear is the next tactic. You will burn for eternity in hell if you do not believe. If you want real answers, search for them yourself. The truth and God can be found. Take the lead in your journey to discovery. After all, if you are just going to follow, you could end up anywhere.God means us to THINK and not just wander blindly believing. God wants us to know through discovery.Isn't all wisdom and knowledge gained this way??

As a Christian, I don't believe that following rules will save you. But accepting the Lord Jesus as your personal savior will save you. There is no rule beyond that all we do is trust in Jesus and He takes care of every thing. There is no man that can truly follow all the rules. So rules are not the necessary part in making Christianity. Any I don't expect anything more, because I got all I needed from the Lord. I have got my salvation, peace, happiness, satisfaction and lots of blessing. Besides I get whatever I ask for when I need them. I don't believe in what people tell me, but I believe in what Jesus tells me through the Bible and my daily prayers.

Yes... Rules make religion... To be a christian, you must believe in christ and bible.. To be a muslim, you must believe in allah and prophet and quran.. To be a hindu, you must do duties and work without selfishness..

Hi Arioch, Most religions have some rules and the majority of their adherents just follow blindly what their leaders tell them and this is what gives religion so much power. People should never trust another to tell them about their religion, but rather look for answers themselves. The day of following blindly is over people are beginning to think and to find answers for themselves, a better day may be dawning. Blessings

First of all I do not have A religion per sey. I have faith in God and that is all I need. I do pray and put the problems of the day/year/moment in the hands of the Lord. I have also learned to watch what I pray for as I might get it ! I wander on blindly leaving my life in the hands of the Lord.
