Hi myLotters,
Alright, I know many of you are writers out there, generating many articles on a daily basis. The last time you wrote an article would probably be yesterday, this morning, a few minutes ago or a few seconds ago.
I write mine this morning. Okay, it fell short of 400 words. But I did manage to write an article. But what is so great, you might think?
The thing is I have not written one in the past 16 months. This is my FIRST one in 16 months! There are some reasons why I stopped writing for that long. But let's just celebrate the fact that I have written an article this morning and it's not even 7am in the morning yet. Yippee!

haha Sydney, you really tortoise ah!
After making so much noise here, you finally manage to produce one article. Luckily hens lay eggs at more regular intervals. If every hen lays egg at the rate of one egg in sixteen months, we go mad already. No more eggs with toast for breakfast.
Faster write more articles before you rest for the next sixteen months.

Hi scheng1...
I'm actually like a hen. Lay one egg and make a lot of noise!
It's just that this hen's egg factory close down lah... for 16 months. Okie, now that you have given me a challenge, I'm thinking of what to write tomorrow morning

I really like the last one.
But seriously, no. 1 and no. 5 are titles that I might actually write.

hmmm I think I can get you far more challenges.
Let's see what we shall do. The best is that I give the title, you write the articles.
1. How to write an article in 15 minutes
2. How to earn from a discussion forum
3. How to discipline a naughty cat
4. 10 ways to get rid of acnes.
5. How to find a mosquito and get dengue fever in order to lose weight
6. 5 ways to discipline a lazy writer, such as SydneyHazelton.
That's enough for you to write!

I"m so happy to see you!!! I thought you'd never come to respond to any of my discussions anymore. How have you been? I have been to hell and back.

Oh, it's just that I seldom come on MyLot nowadays, and when I do it's usually just to check the "writing" section. Have been busy with a number of non-writing related stuff. Organise chess tournament at Bedok, help with chess tournament in Jurong, and so on. Basically running around Singapore :P

This would have to be a little while back and it seems that I'm getting out of tune! It's always nice to get a new article out there I suppose although if there's no constant practise then you tend to lose touch and I think this is the case with me. I mainly concentrate my efforts on Helium! What I have been doing is logging into Helium and making sure that I rate other articles on a regular basis, this ensures that I maintain some rating stars. I will perhaps try and return to submitting one new article per month. Andrew

Hi Andrew,
It's been a long time since I see you here. Erm, that's because I'm not here much in the last year or so. I can see that you number is larger than mine already.
Remember we sent our articles to one site and then requested them to withdraw them because they weren't paying as promised. That must have been two years ago. How time flies.

i finished my last article this morning which i started last evening. in fact, it's a preview about a soccer match. i've written things related to soccer only. i also finished a project on the day before yesterday which i successfully bid from freelancer.com. i started writing early this month and submitted my first to associated content and they published it. i have written about a score so far. yeah, i always felt good after finishing every one of them.

I know what you mean. It really feels good when you know that some cash is coming into your pockets real soon. I don't write about a specific topic though, but I was just thinking that I might want to increase my repertoire in a certain area of interest.
I have heard of freelancer before. Do you have to create profile and sample of writings to showcase to potential employers? How does it really work? Sounds like ELance.

I wrote a few two days ago. But today or yesterday I didn't write any. I should start writing one soon though, if I can just find the time!

Last time i wrote an article?

HI Angel,
I'm concerned to hear that Triond is not accepting your articles. Did you ask why they are not accepted. Usually, they will highlight the problems in your articles when they reject them - whether it is a duplicate, too many errors, copyright issues, whatsoever. So do take a look at your Declined list and find out what's the matter.
I have been writing for Triond for more than 2 years and I have no problems submitting original articles to them, except for a few cases. I don't make much fuss out of it because there are other writing sites I can submit my work to. :)

I last wrote two articles about 2-3 weeks ago. I was asked by two bloggers at the same time if I would write a guest article for their sites. One was about Zen and the art of creativity, and the other was about Zen and the art of writing. Before that it had been a year or so before I had written an article of any length and that had been for my website. _Derek

Hi Derek,
At last I found someone who took a break for almost as long as me.
Wondering whether you are paid for the articles you wrote for the bloggers?
How are you doing, Derek? I have not been here much. Hope you are doing well.

It's like a month already, but I've rewritten an article last week and post it at articlesale.com just to see how fast I can sell it on another article marketplace. I'm trying to write 3 articles before the end of the week since I'm done writing blog posts.
I do have a lot of topics in mind, but it's just hard to find time to research, to write, and to proofread. But I have to get them out there however difficult the tasks are.

Hi kitkat,
I have never heard of articlesale. I have never thought of selling my articles on a per piece basis. Erm, can you give some ideas on how it works and what other article marketplaces you know?
Sometimes the most difficult tasks are the ones we urgently need to do.

Congratulations on getting an article written. I know it is hard getting back in to it after a break. I wrote article for Associated Content today, and I also wrote another one for them for up front payment so I am hoping it will be approved very soon. I also put some stuff on Gather today. I wanted to post more today but unfortunately I ran out of time.

Wow! Two articles already?
I was just so happy that I wrote one after such a long time that I'm happy mylotting away instead of writing another one.
Anyway, trying to keep a steady momentum - let's start with one a day, ya?

Hi Amelly,
That's wonderful. I'm not as creative with my writing. And it has never crossed my mind to write about flirting with food. Do you submit your articles to any writing sites to earn money?
If you don't have any, I would suggest you one.
