Hi Friends,
This is one of the activities which we do normally in our daily life..
When you go to sleep in the night, do you switch off all the lights and keep your room in dark or just leave a dim night light on..??
I use to keep switch on the dim night light on... Because... I cannot sleep in the extreme darkness.. the room must have a dim light effect... then only I can sleep...
How about you guyz & gurlz...??

I find that I could sleep sound in utter darkness. But that's when I have companion nearby. I dare not sleep in complete darkness when I am alone in the house. So, when I am alone in the house, I usually leave the bath room light on so that the room is is a dim condition. I still can sleep well in dim condition, but not as good as dark condition.

Actually I still sleep well in dim light, just that it's as good as when I am sleeping in total darkness. Last night I tried to sleep in darker condition, and I feel more refreshed by doing that. I will feel lost if I wake up in darkness, and that's part of the reason why I prefer to sleep in dim light especially when I am alone.

I like to sleep in dim light, total darkness scares the hell out of me.I afraid of darkness from my childhood only.I will only sleep in darkness if someone sleeps with me.

I switch off the lights. I can sleep with the light on but I prefer not to because it wastes electricity. I used to have to sleep with it on all the time because for some reason I couldn't sleep without it. I decided to ween myself off of that because of what I said earlier, it really wastes electricity. Now I sleep in total darkness.

I don't like sleeping in total darkness, either. Then again, I also don't really like sleeping with a night light or some small light on in my room.
I find that sleeping with a night light on in the next room or hallway is the perfect setting for me to sleep in.

Hi arun,
I can sleep in both situations; means I can sleep well in the darkness and if there is dim light it won’t prevent my sleep. But at home we all prefer to sleep in complete darkness. If there is dim light then my younger son is happy and continues his play. He will go to bed only when there is complete darkness. We keep an emergency light/torch/mobile near to our bed for using if there is any necessity in the meantime.

I can sleep either way however my husband is one of those guys that needs it to be 100% dark and needs to sleep with a fan on ALL year round! I've now gotten use to the sound of the fan to sleep and have trouble when its quiet. We have a 3 year old so we have to sleep with a night light outside our room so she can see if she comes in our room at night.

Both are fine with me. :) Sometimes if I watched horror films, I prefer to keep the lights on or in dim, while if I didn't I like the lights to be off. hahaha. :) Besides, if the lights are off, I can save energy with it and minimize our expenses on the monthly electric bill. :)

I like a dim light. I tend to wake up in the middle of the night to go to the bathroom and I hate stumbling in the dark. Also it just makes me paranoid to be in total darkness. Yes I may be an adult but I like a nightlight. Especially living on my own... I keep a few around the house so I can see when roaming at night.

I preferred sleeping with all the lights switched off back when I was still living with my parents. When I started living independently, I sleep with a dim light. However, there was this instance when I got up late for work because I thought it was still nighttime, so from then on, I sleep with the lights on. It was a littel discomforting at first, but I'd rather sleep like that during office days rather than lose my job due to tardiness. ^_^

I like to sleep with dim light. I dont like to sleep in total darkness. I prefer seeing light when I sleep. It makes me paranoid if the room id too dark. I even bought a guard light so I can see some light when I sleep. I feel more secure if I see some light.

Hi, arunmails.
Well, I can't sleep well with the lights on. I mean I may fall asleep with the lights on, but wake up easily.

I could only sleep in total darkness. I could not, for the life of me, sleep with a dim light unless if I haven't sleep for a day or something like that. If there was any sound or soft music however, thats a totally different story alltogether.
