Working in Singapore

I am planning to go to Singapore this September 2010 to find high paid salary to support the financial needs of my family.Is it a right choice to work in Singapore?Back of my mind I have so many questions and doubts that's why anyone can give me advices and suggestion before I made my decision?Thank you

So you don't have Job Order there? You are just planning to go there and find work? I've known some people who tried to find job in Singapore, one is 4 yr. Graduate and now working as Asst. Manager in my country. Although he is grad. and experience he still did not find job there. My friend also went there to find job and she stayed at his brother who's working there but didn't find any. I guess its hard to find job at Singapore, you should have a job order first. But there is no harm in trying, just be confident and be yourself. Curriculum Vitae is very important so make the most out of it. Goodluck to you!

I'll just wish you goodluck in your job hunting there, but do not forget that Singapore is a very strict and discipline country. Take a lot of care when you get there and know more about their culture first.

Thanks Lanie Yes you are true I conducted many research in the Internet today about Singapore so that I know the process and there culture before I finally decide to go there.

Hello Lanie thank you for sharing,I have no job order yet and just planning to find work in Singapore.I have visited many website in Singapore that related to Job opportunities but most of the Company are preferred to hired PR/Singaporean.That's why I am decided to apply work when I am there but still thinking what's the best way to do.If you have any thing to share don't hesitate to share with me whether it is negative or positive,I love to hear everything you've shared.Thank you

Singapore is a great place to live dude! I would definitely appreciate your idea of going there to work. I don't know about your country - Singapore has lot of Chinese and East Asians in it. The temperature is moderate, rain can pour at anytime of the day!

Hello Kar yes that's why I've choose Singapore.I am from the Philippines,how about you?I've read many articles regarding Singapore it is the same in our country that's why its not hard to adjust.Yes there's a lot of Chinese there Hopefully I can meet my other relatives because my grandfather is a Chinese but did not teach us how to speak Chinese.Do you have any idea about Singapore?

I am from India and I have been to Singapore in my vacations and it is great! I lived in a hotel in Orchard Road. The roads are excellent and I think you should be using the train system as it is convenient and good too.
