Why this happens when I post/respond discussions ?

Hi Gany. That happens to me a lot. I don't know why, but if this doesn't go away soon, i am really going to hit the roof. TATA.

Hiya Gany, Copy and paste all the responses in order on Notepad keep it open while you are still on there and if you lose any of your responses you can always refer back to Notepad and copy and paste from there. I have had that problem too but not at the moment. When I do have one of those Days I just type the response with the persons name at the top of each paragraph so I know who I´ll be sending it to and go back later and post when I can. Works for me anyhow. Also I leave quite big spaces in between the responses so they don´t get mixed up.

It is happening to me too. I lost so many of my responses and on top of that page loading in mylot is damn slow. Maybe there is technical fault with mylot system.

HI, sometimes the traffic in mylot are too much so it might happened. I can see you have 488 posts on ur profile... so keep up to 500 and then u can do the copy and paste. if u think ur post will reload again then copy it and it will helpful for u next time. Another thing, sometimes it keeps saying uploading but actually it already post... so, u should double check on that too. good luck

I'm no expert...but it could have something to do with the amount of myLot's Internet bandwidth. Several people could be answering or responding to the same post at the same time, in turn, generating a slow response from your PC. Perhaps? cdrxo

Hello ganny!! I think it's lots system. Sometimes the site is pretty slow that's why we won't be able to see some of our discussions. I have been a victim of that and I get to duplicate my response which I report myself. Ihahaha..

You don't have enough posts to copy and paste, otherwise I'd just advise you to save a copy before you post. But have you tried using Chrome as a browser? I have found with Chrome that if this happens, and you back arrow, your text is still there.

Yes Gany, this happens to me to. I use a mac. I thinks it's a mylot thing/I don't have this happen with other sites.

me too often experience the same thing as you. I do not know why this all happened and how to overcome them. I think this happened because the internet connection was not good. because I did not experience anything like this, when my internet connection is good.

Same thing is happening tome too.Many times i have retyped everything and its damn irritating.Now every time before i hit post button i select and copy my response so if it happens again there wont be need to retype everything. someone above have suggested using opera.If it saves whole data it will be great thing as sometime i forgot to copy my response.

What's happening to me was when I started to post a response it will back to sign in page. However when I'm sign in again all the data were still there, so I post it again then runs smoothly. Therefore, I'll always doing sign in twice to explore mylot.

well, we have in common experienced., for me often. every time i post my responses it took 3-5 minutes before it post, and i'm lucky when it post but there are times it is blank., it is totally erased, and it can make me disappointed because its really hard for me to type my responses because of English languages and i am poor in English, that why it keeps me irritated sometimes. but i guess there is a problem to my computer because it is already oldes.,lol

it happened to me also and i really don't know what to do.i'm really irritated when specially sometimes i used to type longer about that specific discussions and what do i get in return?just so irritating! its hard to type again the words that came to my mind,struggling to posts longer responses is quite difficult especially when you're running out of time because you have so many things to do.i just wanted to make posts in a day at least 10 posts and with quality lengthy response.and suddenly when you post it,it will just be blank! so irritating!

ya..same problem..i also has to wait for moment and sometimed the data is lost when i refresh..i think when u refresh the data is lost.if its takin too long then simply go back and see ur dicussion has already been posted..

This is happening to me also from sometime now. The only difference is that, instead of white page, 'Internet Explorer server not responding' message appears. When I go back, the typed message is gone. Hence now-a-days, I copy the matter typed, if it goes away, I paste it. It is a waste of time. But what to do? Instead of typing it again, this is better. I was accessing mylot from mozilla fire fox. But it started hanging quite often. Hence I am accessing mylot from internet explorer now.

I have had that happen before and so I got into the practice of highlighting my text and doing a control C to capture what I wrote every sentence of so, just in case it went away. Then I used control V to put the lost text back in my response. I have had photos "disappear" too. Not lately though. It might have something to do with the cookies, I am not sure.

Hi, Gany, I experienced it! When I log in mylot at home, I cannot send my response, the situation is like you said. And everything is okay, but it seems everything about cabel and internet connection is available. Then I found the problem by accident - maybe my router's problem. You know there are two computers in my house, so I use a router so that both of them can get on the internet, and my laptop online without cabel. I can do everything online as usual, except on mylot. When I get on internet by cabel directly, I can send response or do everything on mylot. Hope it will help you!

Hi Gany! You are not alone my friend! This happens to me too and it is rather annoying! I type a whole long response, wait for it to post, it takes forever and then nothing! I have to start all over again too! This happens quite frequently! I don't know why, but there is obviously a glitch in the system every now and then! I have no idea what the problem is and I guess we should be reporting it to mylot admin so that they are aware of it and start checking into it so that they can figure it out so that it stops happening!

I have certainly experienced this myself and it's nothing really abnormal! I guess this relates to a slow loading of the page and then it suddenly gives up. The thing I don't like about this process is the fact that you lose all the text you have written and you have to resubmit the post. I guess the best way to avoid any problems relating to this is to copy and paste your text into an open word document! If this happens again you can just copy and paste your text from your word document into your post. Thankfully this doesn't happen too frequently. Andrew

Hi gany ..I used firefox and this always happened with me . I usually post long posts and it was really exhausting for to post again . But lately i switched to chrome . I must say that chrome is cool . I get that error message very rarely . Even if get it no problems . When i press that back button . The content which i typed is already entered , so chrome is not pretty, very cool . Also the site loads faster . So i would suggest you to use chrome . Btw i am also a VIJAY fan . I guess you are a tamilian like me . Anyways ..happy mylotting and have a nice day !
