'Be absoulutely clear about who you are and what you stand for. Refuse to compromise.' ---Brian Tracy DO you believe there are times when one should compromise? Why or why not? Is it possible to compromise and still remain true to who you are?

Compromising is a huge part of survival in life I think. Whether it would be the personal life or a professional life, we have to all make sacrifices. Finding a common ground is crucial. Otherwise, our life will be too much difficult. There are times where we can in fact find that we can find a common ground, while still remaining true to who we are. It can be a bit of a tricky thing to find granted, but with a little work, we can find that common ground. However, there is a difference between compromise and rolling over to allow another person to get their way. There are people who tend to think that compromise is us agreeing with everything that they say. That is not how it works. It is about us being at one side and them being at another side. We meet at the center and find some way where both of us can remain true, while at the same time not being in direct conflict. In the end, it is possible to compromise and remain true to who we are but it is a lot of work.

Yes, I believe that we have to promise each other (even if the one of us is absolutely clear about who is he and what stands for) even if the one is wrong. However, I think we should promise if it's for a good reason ( the ego is not a good reason). About the last question, I'm not 100% sure is it possible or not, but I incline to yes. :)
