Well I am going to be turning 30 next month, and I am wondering if it is just a number, or will I really feel old lol! In a way I am actually happy and sad at the same time, happy because in my 20's I have had such a bad time of it, what with one thing and another, and hitting the big 30 could give me a new lease of life and leave the bad stuff in the past, but then I think wow I'm leaving my 20's behind me, in my twenties I had 2 children one when I was 20, and one when I was 28. It's a sad thing cos so much happened in my 20's, but I don't know... to be honest in my mind I think it's just a number and it doesn't mean anything, I feel I should look forward now, and forget the past. What do you all think? And for those of you who may have turned 30, what was it like for you?

Oh! I will be at age 30 this December, for me it is an achievement. Life becomes more beautiful when we age, we can gather a lot of memories and discover more to come. Yeah, it's just a number ha ha! We must be thankful that we'll be able reach age 30 with healthy body, mind & spirit!

Hi rosie,
You are so lucky. In your 20's you have a family and two children. They are your biggest fortune: your wife will accompany you the whole life, your children can make you feel the happiness of a family union. Content is better than riches.
Lots of people hasn't a house, wife and children, when they are at thirty years old.
Please enjoy your life.
Happy mylot.
Yours friends,

I turned 30 a few years ago, and I didn't think much about that day. I don't mind getting older, I have more experience now than I did when I was in my twenties, and I think that is a big advantage. I am less shy today and less naive, and I am able to handle things a different way because I have been through a lot and I have tried lots of different things. When I was 25 I had some older friends and they were jealous of me, they were 35, and they wanted to be 25 again. I don't understand that feeling, I think it is nice to get older. Someone once said: "Age is like climbing a mountain. You might lose your breath, but the view is much better" I agree with that

Maybe turning thirty for you is not such a bad thing. I mean, you said you had a bad time when you were in your twenties. Maybe this time you'll enjoy life a little more than before.

To me it was just another number. I have quite a few friends that freaked out but I don't really understand why. I'm not quite sure I'll feel the same about 40, but I guess I'll know once I get closer to it. But if we had used a number system based on something else than 10 we would have panicked at other ages :-) My brother said he didn't care but apparantly he was grumpy for two weeks *he he*

Turning 30 was actually no different for me at all. I suppose it is a milestone, but when you get there you are kind of left wondering what all the fuss was about.
Age is just a number and life is what you make of it I had my kids at 22 and 29 and now at 32 I am just enjoying and appreciating what I have. You cannot live in the past, that's gone and nothing you can do will ever change what already happened. The best thing is that you can make decisions about now and the future.

It's just a number, don't worry about it. Think of it like any other year, your still the same and you won't change. Our body may age but you'll always be the same you inside. I don't think you should forget the past, what about all your good memories? Turning 30 is nothing :)

For me it was just a number :) I gave birth to my 2nd daughter a few days before I turned 30, so I guess I was occupied with other things besides thinking of my birthday :D
I'm more concerned about turning 40, but thankfully it is still a few years away :)
