It has been my experience that on any other sites when I cancel my account that they keep stuff on the site for quite a while. And because others have responded they would stay for that reason I would think as well. Is someone going to cancel their account on here then?

Well, I would think that it becomes the property of Mylot doesn't it?

Seems as though it all remains on the site after you cancel your account.

I wanted to change my user name, so I canceled my account and made this one. Everything I posted is still here on the site. The only thing that changed was the account's profile. When I try to view it now, it redirects to the homepage.

it will stay here forever unless someone deletes or corrupts the back-up of mylot... its another issue. heehehe I know the memories you did here are kept safe by mylot admin.

Thank you but no they are not kept safe, they are using our posts on other sites, that's why I asked what happens when we leave. I'm not so sure that I want my posts being reused by myLot admin.

So far, it looks as if the content remains on the site even after you delete your account.

I believe it all stays there
even if you delete your account the discussions are still archived
