I am upset at the moment as my black cat has gone missing. The last time i saw him was on Saturday afternoon.I have been calling his name since Sunday night aswell as today i went to see two people that lived near me and they have not seen him either.I have written some notes out asking people to look in their gardens aswell as their sheds just incase he has been shut in, so i will get my sons to pop them in doors tomorrow when they come in from school and just hope for the best.

Hi Jugs..so sorry to hear Kitty has gone missing. I just want to give you some moral support in that cats just do this now and then. It is not unheard of for them to be gone for a week sometimes more. My cat used to do this about every couple of months. She'd be gone for days and days and I'd loose so much sleep worrying about her not to speak of crying all the time..Then all of a sudden, I'd hear this very loud Meow at the door and she'd be home. Usually she looked a mess, was very hungry and tired. She would eat and then go to my bed and sleep for a couple of days! So try not to worry too much. I often had wished I could put a little camera on her so that I could see where she'd been!! Like you mentioned, the possibility of her getting locked in somewhere is also a possibility and if thats the case, hopefully someone will come home or hear her or something soon.. Hang in there, She'll be back. I'll say a prayer for her just the same, and ask God to keep her safe on her "adventure". Have you checked with your local shelter just in case she got picked up? Let us know how things turn out..

I have rang the cats homes aswell as the vets and there has been no black cats handed in.I also had a friend that dropped off notes in peoples doors that has my phone number on them aswell as let a few people on my estate know that he has gone missing. The only problem is that once neat Christmas he came home with a collar on it and there is a elderly man that kept inviting my cat in his as well so i hope he is at one of their homes and safe.

Hi Jugs..Yes, there is a strong possibility that someone has "adopted" him. I had the same thing happen once where a man that lived on my street loved my angora cat and also kept inviting her in. It turned out that she was happy there because he had no other cats and I had two others and one in particular even though it was her blood sister, she had no time for it. She still lives with that man today. I was sad but wanted her to be happy and apparently she was so I wasn't going to make her come home. If someone took your cat in and thats not where he/she wants to be, the first chance he/she gets at getting out, believe me it will. I kind of hope that is what happened cause at least she would be safe and fed there. Just hang in there..the next few days will tell..I'm praying for you..J

Is he a boy? I have also a male cat who always leaves the house and gone missing for 2 to 3 days, he'll come home to eat and drink will go away again. I discovered that there was a female cat somewhere in the neighborhood who is in heat and my cat is there watching over that cat and taking his time to have some private moments with her. LOL ! Don't worry, he'll come home as soon he gets hungry.

He has been missing nearly 5 days now and i think as he has not been handed into the vets aswell as the cats home some one may have taken him in and trying to keep him indoors.I hope if someone has taken him in that he comes home as soon as he can get out to get home.He came in with a collar on a few months ago so maybe that he is with that person.

I hope you find your cat. Do you have a picture you can upload? Perhaps a member on here is from the area you are and may see him. I hope you find your cat soon. Perhaps he/she will return home.

Good Morning dear Jugsjugs , first of all i care to say that i am a pet owner myself of both cats and one Puppy whom i trully love and treat like a human been ( Just the puppy ) , i have to be more precise SEVEN cats , and the youngest of these seven creatures is a biig wanderer (Bebe its he's name ) , he's got now two years and he's been always coming and going , i mean the first time he dissapearred i panicked and started looking everywhere for him , i even made some postcards and putted them on trees in my neighborhood and the Bistro's , the first time he went disapearring he went for SEVEN DAYS and then he camed back , actually he had made a habbit off comming and leaving , i think he probably is in the heat periods when he does soo and wanders after females , hence he is not the Alfa male in the SEVEN cats pack that my Step Father has ( this was happening while i was still living in my parents house , now thank god i only have One Puppy , wich is i dont know what i'll do if she went missing ).
I am trully sorry to hear what your going trough ,and i hope for the bottom of my heart that your cat its just wandering in the neighborhood , and hope that no accidents happened to him/her , hence i know how it feels to loose an animal that you cherish . I suggest that you give him a few more days before you start thinking that he might of had something bad happened to him and that he comes back home , unharmed and HUNGRY , and that this will serve as an adventure without any incidents.
Try to keep up a good morale and try putting post on the streets(If you have any recent photos with it ) , maybe someone found it.
Have a nice day dear Jugsjugs

Aw jugs I am so sorry to hear that your kitty has gone missing. I have four cats of my own and would probably go insane if one of mine went missing. I suggest putting signs up everywhere and to continue doing what you are doing. Also maybe call a pet rescue place in your area, something like that. Good luck and I really hope you find your kitty.

It's a terrible feeling when your cat goes missing. One of our cats got missing once as well and once we found out where he was it was hard getting him inside. In this particular case it was because he had gotten into a big fight with the neighbours cat and he daren't come back in the garden because he was affraid to run into this other cat. They never had a fight before the timing was bizar, as they moved the next day so he didn't have anything to worry about (but he didn't know that). We could pet him and pick him up as usual, but once you headed toward the house he would be histerical and start scratching and twitching to get away from you. Finally we got him using a special cage that drops shut when the cat gets inside. Once he was indoors again he was happy and his old self . He never went outside again though.
I wish you the best of luck, cats can be pretty unpredictable so he might just be out on your doorstep within a few hours. Let us know how everything works out, my thoughts will be with you.

I have rang the vets aswell as the cats home and notes have gone in peoples doors,i hope he turns up soon.In the past when he went away for a few days he came home with a collar on so i took it off as i do not have collars on my cats incase they get caught up on anything,so perhaps he is with the people that put the collar on him.

Maybe he has gone back to the same place. He might want the best of two worlds. He may come back with another collar!

Is it a tomcat? We had several occasions where toms have taken off and about the time we had pretty bunch given up on them they came back. Remember cats have a mind of their own. About all you can do is be vigulant and stay on it. I will be thinking of you and hope you get him back safe and sound.

I know. My daughter used to have a big grey tom and the lady over by us thought he was hers. What a fiasco that turned out to be.

He is a tom and he has been fixed even though he still tries to be a daddy if you know what i am saying. He once came in with a collar on and i took that off as i never put collars on cats as there are too many trees etc what they can get caught up on.I have rang all the cats homes vets aswell as a friend put notes in peoples doors so that they know he is missing.

I know first hand how terrible it is when a beloved pet is missing. One of mine climbed out of a window when we were away for a weekend. My husband and I put up posters, walked all over the neighborhood asked all the kids if they had seen her, called all the shelters, etc. She was gone a long time, over a month, and I had given up on her.
Then one night she was on the front porch crying to be let in. So even if yours is missing for awhile, she still might come home.

I have rang all the shelters aswell as the vets even had a friend dropping notes in the roads near us incase he has been locked in a shed as it is really hot and asked people where i live if they have seen him.Once he came in with a collar on so i took it off him as that way who had put it on would know he was my cat.Its very upsetting that i do not know what has happened to him.

It sounds like you have done everything there is to do. If he came home once with a collar on, he might have gone back there. If you know who put it on him, you could check with them. Does he have a tag with your phone number on it? I hope he is okay, and comes home soon!

ya..i do know that kind of people sucks. it is never good in stealing anyting from someone else especially they beloved pet. do you bought her or you found her?maybe if you found her,the owner maybe wanted to claim her back but that is still not the right way to do it.

I know many people are superstitious ..Every time I had a black cat
and let him outside, always ended up that he never come back or worse.
I will pray that your cat comes back.

Once my brown cat has gone missing for 3 /1 days. I went round all the nearby roads calling her name and asking people for that cat. My hope was that, cats recognise co-cats and people by smell. If she smells my foot print, she may recognise and remember us and come back. After 3 1/2 days of waiting, she came back on early morning, as if nothing has happened and was in a hurry to eat her food. May be she did not eat for so long. I heard, they go out missing when they get heat. Hence do not get panicked. The cat will come back soon.

He has been fixed, but i know they are like humans and still want a she cat so perhaps that may be the answer. In the past he has come in with a collar on him that i did not put on him so perhaps someone has got him again and there are two people that do that type of thing where i live and i hate to say if i find out that they have my cat knowing that i have put a note in their door saying hes missing then there will be alot of trouble.

I really hope you and your cat will see each other again. Maybe he was lost. He got out of the house and do not remember returning because he could not remember the place. I hope you continue searching for him. and pray that God lead his walk towards home.

I am sorry to hear that Jugs, it is really uncomfortable feeling when your loving pet is missing. I have experienced that too when our orange tabby was missing just for one whole day.
Were used of him as our alarmer because he wakes us up every 7am and ask for food. But that Sunday was different, we wasn't around and we keep on calling his name around the neighborhood and he wasn't there. We prayed that night asking God to give him back to us.
The next morning he came back to us, just got late one hour because we heard him meowwing at 8am. But we hug him so much and talk to him like "where have you been Brando?" we keep on searching for you, you did not show up. He keeps on answering us back meowing. Hope that your cat will be back to you safe.
