Hi Friends,
I had seen some pupil, lying about their age... especially the girls, they don't say their age even if asked..
I had asked my colleague ( a lady not a girl), how old are you..?
She simply replied, "don't ask age to a girl", its not a good manner...
Then I gave her a nose cut, saying that, "I am not asking to a girl instead asking to a lady"...
She got anger and went off... then next day, I say sorry to her and aked the same question... she simply said, "I am 24"... I know that she had crossed 29...
but, why do they hide their age and lie....
I had not lied about my age... I am over 25...
Have you lied about your age..? if yes... why do you do so...??

Hi Arun . It is obvious that every wants to be young , and that lady also wanted to young in front of you . I have seen many people lying their ages . I never lie my age . Do we get any reward of lying our ages . I simply don't care . Age is not an issue for anything . Sir Stanley Mathews played for the premier league club , Stoke City till 55 . So age is not a factor .I always think that HONESTY IS THE BEST POLICY . And i always obey that policy . Anyways..happy mylotting and have a nice day !

Lying about age is common among women. But I believe it is useless to lie about age when your face shows anyway and it is even worse if your face shows more age than you have. It is better to tell your real age and then hear people say "Wow you don't look your age, I thought you were younger!" Well anyway, I think most women will forever do that. Most of them want to live in the fantasy world. I am woman but I don't lie about my age. Every year added into my life is a blessing from God so why would I hide that blessing? It makes me happy if people say I look younger than my age though. That means I am able to take care of myself well. It's really flattering and better to hear that rather than a woman hiding real age and then frowned and laughed at her back because her very face shows her true age anyway. I don't think age should be a reason to resort to lying. What benefit does one get if she sins because she lied about her age? How funny! What matters is the looks. Even if you are only 18 but you look 30... how does your young age benefit you? Now if you are 50 and yet you look 30 then that is significant! Every one will age so there is no need to hide the age. The best thing is to work towards maintaining a youthful and happy countenance. That is the most effective way of hiding the age without lying. We can do that through healthy living and positive disposition.

I lie about it as a joke, mostly. But if a woman lets you know that she doesn't want to tell you her age, my advice is to BACK OFF...

I never lie about my age. Everybody thinks I'm younger then what I really am, so it makes it easy. When my two older girls were 3 and 1 1/2 I was 21 and I was forever being told I was way to young to have children of that age. Also there was one time my mom and I went to a meat raffle when they were that age and this older lady told my mom her 'children' were adorable. My mom couldnt believe what the lady said and told her 'no the older one is my daughter, the 2 little ones are my grandchildren' she told my mom I look 15 even though I was 21. Now a few years later I am still being told I look like I'm only a teenager. Maybe when I am a little bit older I may want to lie about my age a little bit. For now I'm happy with people thinking I'm 5-10 years younger then I really am.

I couldnt care less if they were. I raise my children and take care of them and that's what matters. I've seen 40 year olds who abuse their children in public. So let them 'make fun' of me. I love my life :)

Hi there!
I am always proud of my age, it's only a number what matters to me is I don't look like my age...I am 31 & turning 32 soon, and I am happy & proud of my age, it simply means I have gained wisdom as my number of years continue to add each year. As long as you are happy and healthy why hide the real number of years you are alive?...:) I am happy that at 31 turning 32 soon I am still alive...

When somebody asked about my true age I always tell the truth. Age is just a numbers game for me. Why should I be ashamed of my true age. All people will grow old eventually and age is something you can't hide because it will clearly shows in the wrinkles in your face.
When your age is increasing you must be proud of yourself because you are already matured and in control of your life and destiny. It's not something that you will be ashamed of. I don't clearly understand why would others will hide their true age.

I don't know what's those girls reason for hiding about their age.
But,asking a girls age is not being rude..or rudeness.
Asking about age is like asking name...so what's the problem then?
Here in our country...asking age,for girls or boys is not an issue.
Anywa,i'm 39 and i never hide or deny my age eversince.

It is said that one should never ask a woman(girl) her age and a man his wage. It is said to be bad manners to ask. No wonder that girl got upset at you.Women usually age faster than men, and it upsets them. If you see a woman a couple of years after marriage, she starts to look older than her husband, especially if she has had a child or children.then in order to look young they start doing all sorts of treatments, facials, Botox etc so that they look perennially young. This is their vanity, nothing else. So better not ask a girl her age next time, you could get slapped, this time you got away lightly. In my case i never hide my true age, even mylot shows my age which gets updated after my birthday. However nowadays even men want to look younger and do what women are doing and also don`t reveal their correct age.

May be she had crush on you? Thats the reason she wanted you to think she is younger than you?hehe
I am a girl and i am 25 and i dont have problem in saying that.Till date i am comfortable with saying that.I know there are some women who do have problem admitting their real age and they tell people wrong number.Probably these women love to think they are still young and they want to live in that fantasy world. So they get upset when someone bring them in reality.

I've never lied about my age even though I'm a girl (though, to be honest, I'm still only 19, so there's not really any reason for me to go much younger than I am!). I've run into the same thing as you, where many women are ashamed to give their real age, and I never understood it much either. I don't think age matters in the least bit, whether you're young or old. I've had people thinking I was older than I am since I've been 8. Even now, some of my coworkers are just realizing that I'm not 25 because they thought that I was older than I was and never bothered to ask.
When I am as old as my mother or my grandmother or whatever I don't imagine I'll have any problem saying how old I am. I'm secure enough with myself that I don't mind admitting it. It's not going to change anything if I lie about my age. It won't change what age I really am and it just makes me seem dishonest and foolish because everyone would know that I'm not really as young as I say. I figure it's best to be honest with both myself and others and admit how old I really am.
Besides, it doesn't really matter how old you are, it's how young you feel. My grandparents are just hitting their 80's and people don't believe them when they tell them that because they still ACT young. They're up and active and mobile and so they can say I'm 80 because they're OK with being 80.

No, i never lied with my age because I dont have any reason to do it. I maybe lie at my age but my face cant hide the real age. For me, it doesnt matter if i will age because I now that it wont stop me from aging, instead people will just tease me from it. Maybe there are such people because they doesnt want to accept the fact that they still doesnt have an achievements in life.

A lot of girls, specially ladies want to be young by looks or age so they are lying about it. Well I think saying the truth will be much better than lying. I know girls and ladies who do not lie about their age. So not all girls and ladies lie :)
