Illegal logging is detrimental to human life. Landslides, floods, extinction of wild life, increase the temperature of the earth one of the causes is the reduction of forest area due to illegal logging. Human actions which are only after profits moment lead to various kinds of disasters. How do you think?

I would associate illegal logging with random and indiscriminate cutting of trees without really observing a certain code of conduct and ethics and obviously disrespecting the fragile balance of nature and the environment.
Illegal logging results in deforestation and the extinction of some specie of flora and fauna upsetting not just the food chain/web. I hate to see trees which have taken decades or a hundred years to mature to vanish in a single day or days. This loss can result in the uneven distribution of rainfall. And when the rain comes the topsoil with nothing now to protect and exposed to the elements are washed away. Flash floods, landslides become inevitable with the eventual loss of lives, livelihood, properties, livestock, etc... As part of the 'green lung' in neutralizing and checking the balance of carbon dioxide in the air as trees take in carbon dioxide to manufacture their food in the presence of water moisture and sunlight, upsetting this balance pushes the temperature of the surrounding area and eventually affects the entire earth. You are never far from the truth, my friend.
While it is human greed that has led to this, it is also negligence and lack of knowledge on our part.
While we hope the government would do something, in our own small ways we could help by being vigilant to combat this menace. Public education is one way to get the message across. Indonesian conservationist, Suryo Prawiroatmodjo, winner of the 1990 Rolex Award for Enterprise 'has long believed that in order to protect our natural environment, people's attitudes towards it must be radically changed.'
Until we manage to control or minimize illegal logging the destruction of the environment, human lives and livestocks would continue and continue at an alarming rate.

They should be stop, government must do to stop this. If you heard it on the news Manila was flooded due to Super storm Ondoy and one of the reason why is because of illegal logging. I wish that Earth awareness will be more active so that all people of the world will get the information and stop this wrong doing.
