Let's discuss about the said quotation.I want to hear your point of view about the said quotation. What is your full understanding about it?For me, it is just very simple to understand, whatever will be your decision today, will be your tomorrow. It is still deep. What I am trying to say is whatever will be your decision today, will be your future. So it is very important to make wise decision in life.we all know that we are facing economic crisis,so we really have to be very careful.weigh everything first before making decisions.i want to hear from you guys, what is your view about this?

Destiny is described as the events that will necessarily happen to a particular person in the future wherein hidden powers are believed to control this. Others would refer to this as fate.
Going along with the mentioned quote, Destiny is indeed a matter of the choices that we make. These choices not only affect those who make them, it also affects others whom that person who makes the decision involves in.
A string of events can be taken as a number of events yet, these events are of course linked to each other in one way or another. So, if one wants to arrive at a particular conclusion, that person would somehow perform such actions in a number of situations which would either allow that person to get closer to that desired conclusion or delay if not impede its progress.

Well, as long as the environment and circumstances are positive and would enable one to have their dreams come true through careful decisions being made, that destiny can be achieved. So, if such opportunities are not really present for that person to grab, it becomes fate?

hi rberon 1985
well i completely agree to the quatation as because destiny is nothing but a mere thought as mostly we see people filled up with cash in their pockets living with luxury and much more but we never think that what type of struggle they may have done for this type of life, its not that people who are poor do not struggle, but then merely struggling and hardwork is not sufficient. one should do smart work take smart decisions at times even if one has to do something unethical for their profit he should not feel guilty. decisions and quck and efficient decisions lead us to success.
i had read a quote somewhere "behind every great success there is a great gamble" one should know what and where to gamble to be successful in life
breaking rules is a bad thing but if for some benefit we have to bend the rules then its allright and not a matter of guilt and so we can say that only blaming your destiny for the type of life we are living is of no use one should understand the times where he has gone wrong or has taken wrong decisions.
thanks rberon happy mylotting

Destiny is in fact a statement of idealism ,your decision today will affect your future happiness .When a person suffered bad treatment of their own destiny always said that bad ,in fact it is shirking its responsibility to avoid argument .As long as our efforts and fate was in our hands .

I really don't believe we have all that many choices on where our lives are going. You must first understand exactly what is guiding your life on the path you are on. First understand that every thought you think, every word you speak and every move your body makes in any direction is always totally and completely controlled by our human brain. Our brain uses only thing to produce this total control. That one thing is INFORMATION.
We are mostly controlled by the information we have picked up here and there in the past. This information is stored within our brain's storage system. Some of this information we believe to be true is not true. Also some of it we believe to be false is not false. This is screwing up our decision making process real bad and causes us to make incorrect decisions that return to us in the form of problems.
Here is the big problem. It can be found in our brains classification system. Our brain classifies information it receives under only three different categories. These are either TRUE, FALSE or UNCLASSIFIED. The unclassified is simply information our brain receives and it doesn't contain enough information on the subject to classify it as true or false. It simply stores the information hoping to get additional information in the future that will prove it one way or the other.
Here is what happens that screws everything up. As you receive information such as this post your brain is constantly asking the question, "is this information true or false". That's all your brain is concerned with. It's the system our brain uses to determine if this information is true or false that's causing all of us very serious problems. As your brain receives information from any source it very quickly compares that information against what it already has in it's storage system that pertains to that subject. If your brain find information in it.s storage system that agrees with what I am saying is will come back very quickly and inform you that what I am saying is also true. This may or may not be correct. We may have both been taught wrong in the past.
There is only one possible way to change the course your life is on and that is to change the information your brain is using to guide you down the course you are on. Your quote is absolute fact. The decisions we make today determines the kind of life we will live tomorrow.
Art
There is only one possible way our brain can classify information it receives correctly and that is for every scrap of information that is stored in our brain's storage system be absolute fact. This just doesn't happen to be the case. We have all picked up a head full of junk information that is not classified correctly and stored correctly within our brain. Any time our brain using information that is not stored correctly it causes us to make incorrect decisions that most often produces problems for us down the road.

As they say, you choose your destiny. Because we all have freewill. But some things you can't control does happen by chance. But most of the time, it is still you who chooses the path you are going to take. I believe that if you depend on chance alone, then you are just WAITING for things to happen. It is better to MAKE things happen because it is only then that you'll feel that you've lived your life to the fullest.
I guess I agree with the saying, destiny indeed is a matter of choice.

It is like what you are right now is a result of your decision ten years before. According to the book I read there is no coincidence, but if a certain situation happened to you it is certain to happen, it happen because there is a reason behind it. Maybe it happen because you need to learn something and you need to realize something. If you want to be somebody who is successful in business in the future, you can do so. Just decide what is best for yourself. Find what you really want to to with your life and go to that path. The process is not easy of course, but if you do believe you can achieve it, you will do all it takes to have it.

i too believe that if this is called destiny, there is no one to blame, but ourselves. we make our future by making a decision today. but we can still redirect the future from a wrong decision, if we are going to look back and reconsider.

In a way I agree, the problem being that the choice is not always visable. There often is not enough information available to make a choice and you may not even realize that you had a choice until a lot of time has passed. But we can always look back and see a choice was available and our destiny is the result of the choice we did make.

in a way destiny is a matter of chance. however, destiny can also be a matter of choice because if we are conscious of destiny being a matter of choice then we can get out of anything we find ourselves in. take the case of uneducated people and one of them having the wisdom to know that only education can get him a decent life. so, even if his parents view education as a luxury the person would still find ways to go get a degree.
in my personal case, am 35 i vowed to myself that i'd not be like my mother who decided to stay at home and care for 5 children while my father was abroad working (since i was 5 until i was 30 years old). however, that's where i chose to be now (but not caring for 5 children as i decided to have only 1). i had spent almost all of my professional life as a teacher and i know that a parent at home can never be compensated by material things achieved when both parents work. luckily i was blessed with a husband who is a good provider. anyway, when my 4 year old gets older i'd finish my masters in educational management, go back to teaching, and probably be a doctor of education. now, that's me beating destiny is a chance. that's me not being lost in housework. that's me getting out of the mold that i might find myself in when i'm 64. that's me making destiny a matter of choice.

Chance plays a very small part in our destiny. Choice plays a much bigger one. We all make choices that help to define our destiny.

This is a never ending debate about destiny. For me its half-half, half choice & half chance. There are cases that they choose their own destiny. They choose whether they go for this or not. I'll example this in the form of love, I have a relationship but my parents are against it. I still fight for the man that I love despite of obstacle comes our way, my parents wants to send me away far from this man but I choose to elope with my bf. The destiny is like this: there is a guy who falls deeply inlove with me, but I dump him cause I don't like him. He insist he's love for me and continue courting me even if I dump him too many times. Until one day I woke up falling into his trap and felt that I love him. We get married and have beautiful kids. Let me just remind you that the situation above are not based on true story, it was used for example purposes only.

destiny is not a matter of chance,it's a matter of choice!
i do believe in this!
you are the one that is in control of your future!
what you do in the present will affect into your future!
thinking and deciding on things before doing it is really best specially when it comes to relationships!
the one you are with today may not be the one who is with you tomorrow
so if you really love that person,no matter what happens you'll fight for each other! same with other things!

We are born with our destiny well planned ahead even before birth. But we have a right to make our own decision. God won't make us do anything! No, He has given us the ability to make our own decisions. We determine our level of success or failure by making own decisions. What we decide to plant now will bear the fruits of our future. Our current station in life is the result of the choices we've made.

it is a matter of choice, if something bad happens to you you want to owe it to destiny, but it something good happens to you you want to owe it to yourself.

hi rberon not always not always, we did not chose to have my son laid off work, we did not chose to go broke, get behind on our rent. we did not chose to be evicted or homeless but my son did chose to put me here as I am 83 and diabetic with a bad leg so walking around on the streets homeless was not a good choice at all. i am in a retirement center hoping he will get a job soon and I can move out of here. so some of destiny is not choice but chance, we would not have chosen to go through the hell we have been through.yes its indeed an economic crisis.
