There were so many that I loved too - but perhaps Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star - because it was about stars and the heavens and space has always held a fascination for me.
Interesting note that Baa Baa Black Sheep is now banned in that form in kindergartens across Australia! I'm not idding - it's*politically incorrect*. They sing Baa Baa Green Sheep or Baa Baa Rainbow Sheep. Geez. It's a sheep and it's black! There is no racial slur. Is it like that elsewhere in the world?

when i was a child, iloved jack and jill and twinkle twinkle little stars. i love nursery rhymes until now. my current favorites are sing a song of sixpence, the man in the moon, and the old woman who lives in a shoe. i like nursery rhymes because it gives you that familiar feeling of dreaminess when you are still a child.
