i have gotten to where i cant remember if i have already done discussions on certain topics or not! i have an awful memory as is but being here off and on 2 years has me worried i will end up having a discussion i already had X amount of months ago then get into trouble!!
have you accidentally done a similar discussion twice because time had passed by and you had forgotten you had already posted it? and had so many you had already started that you cant even begin to sort through your old ones because there are so many?

I have been here so long that Its scary to look back at ALL my old posts. I have not been on here in a while because I have been so busy but luckily, i have not reposted any of my posts yet. Though Im sure some have. I dont think it affects anything though

i dont have much faith in their search engine either.. i have a horrible memory and with me wondering if their search is working right im afraid ill double and be looked at as a cheater.. but a lot of my ideas used to come from the news so thats always changing and i should be safe on those lol

i don't think i would have that problem since i haven't started that many discussions. when i'm on here i usually respond to other people's discussions. i don't know how reliable the search function is,but can you search before you post to see if it has already been posted?

The only time I posted similar discussions was when it got posted twice, accidently I don't start much.. besides i go back to see what is unresolved, so they are always fresh in my mind. I used to have a lot of discussion topics that time, but now I'm content with responding.
My memory isn't good either. And it's so hard to find out whether I have responded to a particular discussion or not!

this is my trick to remembering if i replied to some ones discussion or not.. i always rate the person that made the discussion so if i go to answer something and its already been rated i know i have already been there done that! because i have a few times answered the same discussion 2 times a month apart lol

I do that sometimes too. Most of the discussions I can remember but sometimes whent the titles are simular, I can't. It's not a huge deal to me...Now the ones I've started, I never forget...I know every one of them.

Hey moonlit! You know you are not alone in these thoughts! I have
now been here almost three years in June and I don't remember
either if I have done a discussion on something or not! It has
been a very long time or at least it sure seems like it! And
I don't even do that many discussions to begin with! I know that
a few of them were deleted after being here for two years since
the last "mylot clean out"! So, if you do another discussion and
it is similar, who is going to know if even you can't remember?lol

I have only been a year, and I haven't started all that manu discussions, but to my knowledge, I have never repeated any of my discussions. I never had any of them deleted either, at least not to my knowledge. It is easy to repeat discussions over time, but I will do a search first to see if there is any there from the topic I chose, and if there isn't, then I go ahead and post it. I would just rather post responses as it is much easier, and I don't have to worry about posting repeat discussions. Good luck to you and happy mylotting.

I too have a badmemory sometimes but I dont think I have resposted any discussion. Atlease I have not noticed so and nobody else has pointed it out to me. I hope it does not happen in future too. But anyway I think that the same discussion after a couple of years will have different responses and a lot of new mylotters would get a chance to participate too.

I'm sure I have. I honestly.. Forget about what I've talked about before. I know within the past year and a half or so that I've been here..I've started probably about 1,000 discussions. I'm guessing there is some overlapping in the topics I've talked about. And yes! I definitely haven't gone through my old discussions..Ever. I'm so bad. I forget to do the best response deal and to resolve them..*shrugs*. Oh well. It's a little late now! So I know how you feel, totally. lol.

Hi moon
I always keep a copy of the discussion started by me, so there is less chance of repeation, well there may be similar discussions but not identical
So far i have not made a similar discussion or comments twice..
Thank you so much for this nice discussion, cheers
God bless you.

first of all, congratulations for making that far... I wish I'm like you. I just started few weeks from now so I haven't done discussions that much and still don't even got at least $1.00 of earning.
Well, of course, you might probably cross some same discussions you've responded before with the publicity of MyLot and by those thousands of mylotters here. Of course, some may not know that a topic was already been discussed even a hundred times. Like, what one of my respondents said that my discussion regarding "what's your favorite color?" has always been posted.
Since I'm still somehow new here I can still remember the topics I've responded though it's not clear of the title itself. For you, it's fine that you answer again those topics you've answered before. By the way, the person who started the discussion didn't know if you answered the post before. Ha ha. At least, you keep on sharing your thoughts, and you keep on earning.
On the other hand, I supposed you even posted some discussions somebody has posted already. Thus, it is very fine. Ha ha.

So far I haven't experienced that here but what I did have was the topic was posted twice whenever I got an error on my internet connection. Several times that it did happen to me, and as what we all know, we cannot delete that topic and just make a note on the post to the Admin to delete it because it the other one was redundant.
I have posted some topics but not necessarily the same as to what others have posted. But to be sure, I really don't post much question not unless I really wanted other people's opinion here. But I do enjoy most on answering my friends discussion rather than I starting a new topic.

I have been on Mylot for a while now. But I don't really start all that many new discussions for myself. When I have to look back on my old discussion, I agree that it can be very demanding to reply to all the responses that you get. I can understand why you would forget about a discussion you have made if you make so many.
