If you are talking about having these on your computer I would seriously thinking of putting them on DVD..... Since you have such a large collection I would pick out the ones that you think will be watched again by you or someone in the family..... This will also alleviate space on your computer also....

I am sure that some of those you have you would watch even if you were bored.... By now you know what kind of movies you enjoy even a second time.

i think all you can do is to trasnfer these movies into dvds and safely keep them, per title or per collection. this is what i notice my brother does with all his anime collections, games, and series, and movie downloads. he copies them to a hard disk and then transfer them to dvds and tuck them in his cabinet safe and ready for anytime's use again.

Hello sagar21, well you could have the physical, like hard disks, CDs or DVDs. There is also an option to store it online, like freakshare and mediafire. However it means you have no control over the files.

The best route is to have DVD copies. All hard drives crash or freeze up EVENTUALLY. It may take awhile, but it happens and once it does there's not much you can do to fix it. You can get another external hard drive and save copies on that but it's best to have DVD copies. Digital DVD files last much longer than regular hard drive files.

Buying a one terra or more usb would be a smart idea. I have it but problem is it's almost full and if i wanted to backup i'd need another usb and another for next movies However in my wd when i installed id i had option to backup online. Don't know if that's smart for backing up "illegal" downloads but you could look into it if you're interested.

I store my video collection in DVDs. Yeah it is not safe because itmght crash or something but sometimes I do not back them in DVDs until they are full episodes (I collect drama series). You might want to store them in DVDs as data cd so you can save some space. And of course when you store them in DVDs do not let the disc have scratch that would in time make them unreadable. Choose quality brands for the DVDs. I use Philips and Sony for important files. Hope this helps.

Oh my god, is really a lot of movies. Buy a external Hard disk for let only your movies in it, and when you need is just plug in pc and watch. Or buy like 1000 dvd disks to burn all movies, haha.
