The Christian Religion is quickly growing backwards. There are 3 Churches, of different denominations, within 3 miles of here, all in Financial difficulty. They are not able to afford a Caretaker, and some of the Parishioners come in early on Sunday morning to dust under the pews. This is not a new problem with Christianity, ( by any means) In the last 50 years I can remember at least 6 different country churches have folded, as people lost interest and stopped attending. Those buildings are mostly gone now, but some have been renovated to make living accommodations. Religion is quickly going out of style! The President of United States does not attend Church regularly. What does this say for religion in the 21st Century?

Hi edohusnull, I have heard that Islam is growing very fast but that may not be true as I'm not sure of the source. Christianity however, seems to be going downhill. I've heard that the fastest growing sect is the Jehovah's Wittinesses, although that does surprise me, but than we all think differently. The Mormon also appear to be growing but probably at the expense of other fundamentalists churches. I believe the reason religion, and especially Christianity is losing adherents is because more people are beginning to think for themselves instead of believing what they are told. If children weren't being indoctrinated before they can think for themselves, it would happen much faster. Blessings.

Inhumanity is growing very fast....
The fast growing religions preach inequality towards people of other religions..
Such religions should be corrected or else humanity will decrease and inhumanity will increase..

I do not go to temple often.Very seldom I go to temple. In Temple, purity is going off.I pray to god internally inside my mind and in my house.

I dont know exactly cause there are already so many different religions in the world. I am sure for the fact that our religion is growing year by year. It has been prophesied that all of the world would know the gospel of God from all the corners of the world. It is very important that we know cause God wants all of us to know this and get ready for the life after the life we will have on earth.

I think that one reason many of the churches aren't growing is because - roughly - their belief systems have become so liberal or accepting of sin as a lifestyle that it simply defeats the purpose...
Or in other words, many faiths have become so diluted that they don't teach any standards... resulting in people barely getting some benefit out of faith, because I think many of them have stopped emphasizing living by the commandments.
Many churches' teachings on important issues such as the nature of marriage, adultery, fornication, modesty, and personal sacrifice are all but non-existent... people don't get as close to God as they had hoped they would be.... so 'religion' doesn't work... they say I can be spiritual in my 'own way' just as well.
I think that's why the growing religions are ones that hang onto core values!
