Doctors say that we all need to drink at least 8 glasses of water everyday for cleansing, to help our body function well and for hydration, to keep up with the weather specially when its hot. 8 glasses may seem a lot specially to those who are busy and for those who are not really into water and would rather drink soda. I try to consumer at least 8 glasses of water a day, some days I succeed on other days I fall short from this count. How about you do you drink at least 8 glasses of water a day? =)

I used to drink lots of water everyday and i had pimples. I started drinking about 8 glasses of water last month and my pimples starts to go away. So i love to drink water now ;D I won't reach 8 glasses of water everyday but surely about 6 to 7 glasses of water. It is healthy and yea, it really helps our body to function well (:

I know what you mean. I also try to drink more water when I have skin problems because I think water helps increase the oxygen level in our body which helps it function well and so we heal faster too. Isn't that Great? I'm sure people would be more encouraged to drink water if they have the same experience. Let's both try to keep this healthy habit. =)

I don't think everyone needs to drink exactly 8 glasses of water. Some of us need to drink more water than others, it just depends on the size of the person. But I drink water everyday to go with my meals.

I don't also keep count of the number of glasses of water I have in a day. I agree that with different body types, others may need more and others a bit less. I also drink water with my meals most of the time and I think this helps our body function well. =)

I think we all do understand it when we feel thirsty. There is no need to drink 8 glasses of water daily.i have dont this before and i have to go pee so many times that i got really annoy. Also it put lot of pressure on my bladder whole day.My tummy was swollen.I have drawn the conclusion thats such a advice are useless nad one should eat and drink according his/her own needs.

You have a point there, our bodies have different needs: different body types thus different needs. I also do not really count the number of glasses I drink per day but I try to drink as much as I can. I think the fact that we drink water to our needs is good enough because others do not even like drinking water. You're right, feeling bad after drinking too much water is not a good sign =)

More than 8 glasses everyday.Temperatures in my place are too high. You will die unless you drink more than some 4 liters of water per day.Lot of dehydration problems because of the humidity. This summer kills us. I love cool winters where the temperatures are normal and every thing around us is so pleasant. Lucky to have plenty of water here.

I barely drink 1 glass of water per day. I drink kool-aid, juice, and redbull. I very rarely drink plain water. I know doctors say that is how much we need, but I have never drank much water and I have always been in very good health. I am athletic and I do drink water if i am doing any sort of strenuous activity such as running or playing sports. As for ever day though, my water consumption is definitely below par :)

I know of some people too who cannot drink water because of the lack of taste. Before I used to drink lots of soda and juice only specially if it's available but lately I've cutted down on these and increased my water intake. So far I feel lighter and whenever I drink soda and lots of juice I feel "heavy" and sometimes acidic. You're lucky that your body is quick to adjust to your pace and strenuous activities. They say that juice is also somehow a substitute for drinking water, maybe this somehow replaces the lost fluids in your body. =)

The important matter is that I got to keep hydrated day by day. There are times that I will drink more than 8 glasses of water a day. The reason being is that I exercise on a daily basis whether it is an hour of cardio (treadmill or elliptical) and afterwards I will do my weight workout sessions. The more water the better to keep my body flushed from whatever I have ate previously or drank.
And speaking of soda, I highly recommend people to stay away from that from the fact with the excessive intake of sugar can effect them badly in the long run.
And if you're drinking water on a daily basis yourself then you're doing yourself a good favor in keeping healthy. And this goes for everyone else who reads this post.

I use to drink a lot more water but these days I can barely drink one glass of water I dont know why, but I guess its mainly because I dont really care much for water and I only drink it because I have to, so I try and remind myself to drink more water but I tend to end up drinking just one glass a day in combination with other drink like juice ice tea soda but much less water then I should.

water is very important to our body. So I make it a point to always drink 8 or more glasses every day. This depends on the weather. This summer 8 glasses of water is too little. If you are used to drinking plenty of water you will not even feel that you are drinking too much. But it is good to practice the habit because if you grow older you will find the advantage. I haven't been a water dinker when I was young and I loved salty foods, now that I am almost fifty, I am feeling the bad effect of my bad habit when i was young. Now I have to drink plenty of water because I have problems in my kidney. Water is good so you have to practice the habit of drinking plenty of water.

hell0! well, i know how important it is to drink water every day, and as I know we need about 1/5 liter ofwater a day, but I actually think that I don't drink even to glasses of water a day, but maybe because I drink some soft drinks, but even with the soft drink I don't drink 8 glasses per day :)

No! I don't! I would have to be next to a bathroom all day!
I try to drink a lot of water, but my doctor says that we do need that quantity of water, but it includes water food has, I doesn't have to be 8 glasses of pure water. But still we need to drink water every day!
Its very hard trying to drink all that! And as you said, specially when people are very bussy and everything!
Drink a lot! Libna.

i used to be allergic to almost all types of foods with additives & preservatives, and also seafood and a few other stuff. i couldn't even take medicine without being worried of a reaction.
the 8 glasses of water a day really does help to keep your system clean. have more than 8 glasses if possible. when the urine is clear instead of a deep yellow, then it reflects that you're having enough water intake...
but you just gotta force yourself to drink. it's good for your health and you need it. so that's what i do and i manage to gulp down my 8 glasses a day :)

Agree. Fearful of having an illness called Urinary tract Infection and other sickness that my befall into dehydration made me drink water at least 3 to 4 liters a day. It is something I could not ignore, but my body craves and thirsts for water. Busy or not, I take water as often as possible during the day. I drink more water than juice and coffee. Water helps in eliminating toxic elements inside our body and thus make us feel clean and whole.

This is quite a difficult task to achieve especially when you don't like water! I really don't like the taste of water as it is so plain however I do realise the fact that it is good for the system in terms of cleansing and purification. I recently had a chat with someone though about the intake of water and I was interested in their method! She told me that she doesn't like the taste of water either but she tends to drink coffee which she loves and then she will have a glass of water after. This is what she does, she drinks coffee then water, coffee then water! I guess this is a nice way to do it then at least you are drinking something different all the time as opposed to just drinking water. I thought that I would try this for myself and this is what I do now although I love tea, I don't like coffee. So, I'm sure that I'm striking a healthy balance by doing this. Andrew

I don't think I reach even 8 glasses of water everyday. I just don't like colorless drinks. I prefer to intake juices or sodas or any carbonated drinks as long as it's not water.

How many glasses of water one day depend on everyone's corporeity, it is not the same, the order of nature is most important I think, you will feel comfortable is best.
My opinion is agree with somebody?
