Why do you MyLot?

Some folks are posting discussions about leaving. They say the politics here are getting to them, among other reasons for going.
My question is WHY do you enjoy the site. WHY do you NOT enjoy the site. What keeps you here posting and responding to discussions. What would it take to make you quit?

I like most of the people, some of the discussion and the interaction with the responses. I don't like the people who attack other people for their opinions, sometimes the site Admin (responding slowly or not at all to inquiries, for example), the clause in the TOS that says they can modify our posts and the fact that a lot of people that I like have left or aren't posting much.

For all I know, "modify" could simply be referring to the filter that doesn't allow us to post nasty words. But I'd love an explanation...
Yeah, you learn a lot about human nature all right, the good, the bad and the hilarious!

I guess maybe cause I've been gone for awhile, it's not bothering me that the Adm. responds slowly. I really don't mind the rules, nor am I upset that my words my used elsewhere. Afterall, I am getting some payment for them. And my reasons for being here are to be heard. And the more the merrier!
As for modifying our posts, when did that happen? That is something that would get me riled. I'll have to go read the TOS again.
I love the interaction here. Even with those who are trying and rude. I've learned alot about human nature on here. What do you think?

I have noticed people leaving too but I took it as an issue with mylot posting OUR work on another blog. I first came here to make money, then realized that you dont get rich here, I stayed because I enjoy it. I like debating with about 95% of the people here. Hopefully they do not all leave....

I was invited here by friends from another social network. I stayed cause I like to argue...lol. Debate is in my blood. The pay is secondary.
I don't mind my words being used, we do get paid afterall.

I enjoy the site because of my friends. Once they start being harsh to me, oh I'll surely quit. Can't bear that from friends..
What keeps me posting here is that I am bored of regular mails in my inbox. A mail saying "Congrats! you have been answered" brings a smile on my face. That's all!

Well...nobody is going to like this...lol...but that never stopped me before so....I think a lot of times people say they are quitting just to get attention...everyone will write them and say oh no please dont quit and so on...and they enjoy that attention.....not in all cases but a lot of times I will see someone say they are quitting (here and other sites) and then they never actually do...i have even seen the same people do it more than once sometimes...
Other than that i did hear some grumblings over on FB about the issue of them using our content on other sites so that may have caused a few to quit....and i think a lot of people quit because they dont make as much moola as they anticipated...
I tend to leave my account up and just take a vacation sometimes....just recently I have been off of my lot for about 3 months now....simply because i was comming here every day and seeing the same discussions and there was nothing interesting me so i figured i'd give it a break for a bit.
As for the political arena being rough...well yeah but that is true ANYWHERE that politics is discussed...politics is not for the faint of heart thats for sure...but that shouldn't chase anyone away from the site...there are a ton of other subjects here!
I like getting the little bit of money....but that isnt what brings me here...I too love to talk and argue. There is nothing I enjoy better than a good discussion!!!

To be completely honest I mylot for the money. I don't pay attention to the politics interests, I do to the religion interests but if something offends me there I just walk away, that's all. Like I said, it's all for the money and yes of course the friendships. I've "quit" before but this site is too darn addictive to just say bye to.

I have noticed your absence from my inbox! I usually don't find anything to say to your discussions, but I do most of the time read a few lines of it if not the whole thing. I hope you can find some more time to be on here, I believe I've read somewhere you've several jobs?

I haven't been able to be here enough to earn any money since last fall. But I do enjoy coming here when I can. I guess I'm addicted too.

I enjoy giving people my opinion on there questions, and I also enjoy making new friends. Had you of asked me last summer why I didn't like the site, I would have said way to many trolls, but it seems like most if not all are gone now. I actually deleted my account last year due to all of the troll problems, I had just had enough. But once they were gone I came back.
I think what keeps me here is the friends, and enjoying myself. I really enjoy getting in here and being able to reply to other peoples problems and questions. I think what it would take to make me quit again, would be about 100 trolls coming in again and starting problems, and Admin doing nothing about it.

I guess I am really naive. The worst problem I've had here is rudeness and that is ALL over the net...as for the adm. not doing anything...I haven't noticed. But then I've been offline for a few months.
I enjoy the people here too. I just ignore the rude ones and move on. Haven't had to much problem with trolls. Maybe they've tried to infiltrate my discussions and I just didn't notice. lol

They actually got rid of the trolls last year because so many people complained about the star bashing's that were going on by the trolls so they made it so that any newbies couldn't do it any more. So lets hope this summer that we get lucky.

I like the back and forth with people I "know" and like. I won't be as active now that I know they are selling my content and I don't get a share of it. But I still like debating, sharing good news and philosophy and being exposed to new ideas and ways of thinking.

I guess I am naive, I feel like we ARE getting paid. And if I wanted to get more, I'd find and editor and agent. lol
If I wasn't enjoying my self and getting satisfaction, I wouldn't be here.
Like you, I enjoy the debate, the sharing and philosophical exposure. I've learned alot here.

ohmy I think this is going to be deleted as there has already been this same discussion here several hours back. Did you check to be sure this topic had already been done today? Have you read the rules about discussions. its a nice discussion but I think others are staying away as they are sure it will be d eleted. I enjoy my lot because it lets me be friends with people from all over the world and I cherish the friendships that I have made too. Nothing is going to make me quit as I love it here.

I joined this site just for online earning. There is no other reason for me to join my lot.I think many of the mylotters joined this site just to earn money. Why we have to quit this site? I don't find any reason to quit. Some discussions are interesting which I really like to respond to them.Such discussions are very rare.

I do enjoy being a part of this social networking site. Because it lets me post and earn money from posting and being part of the community. It really is a nice bonus to be able to post here. But I don't really like it when other members attack each other because they have a different point of view from them. That would be a factor that would make me leave. I think everyone has a right to their own opinion.

I just take the rude and crude with a grain of salt. There are always those sort of people where ever you go. It's not nice, but it's not surprising to me either. And while I think everyone has a right to their opinion, I also believe that everyone has a right not to agree with those opinions offered by others too. But I do agree, attack mode is not a good thing for myLot.

Honesty is good!
The money has always been secondary to the interaction and learning and being heard for me.
More power to you, though!
I have to admit, making payout is exciting!
