Anyone notice about google chrome autoupdate? How to disable it?

Does anyone notice that google chrome update automatically every several hour? It do this silently, no indicator...just nothing but googleupdate in your task manager. Even you kill the browser, end-task that program, and disable it from startup, chrome still auto updating.... This will consume significant bandwidth for dial up user like me.
